A folklore/found family/fantasy adventure story!

I was thinking it would be fun to have my idea of a teaser movie poster in my head as I work - for inspiration. I told gpt what I was thinking and this sums up my antagonist rather well!
What "You only get one shot" actually means...
It means, this is your life. Your one shot. Not this is your one script and if that one doesn't work, it's over. You're on a journey. That journey -- trying to get a film made, trying to get your script to be the best it can possibly be, then market it -- that journey is going to transform you and push you to your limits. You either are willing to do the work for that transformation or not. Either way, this is your shot. What are you going to do with it? And what's holding you back. Because half-asssing it won't get the job done. Not with so many talented, ambitious people out there doing the work. Time to step up. That's why I built this place. Glad to be on the journey with you good folks. And if something is holding you back, time to take a good look at it and make some decisions... I finish today's sermon with this priceless piece of advice from David Fincher, one of the true greats on what it takes to succeed.

Wow! That’s an amazing share! Saving that!
New exciting project
Working on an exciting project that will help many Forgers write the screenplay of their dreams, plus market it when done. Anyone excited?

Practice writing
So I’m super new to this, but am trying to train my brain to write brevity over prose. I have some old stories of mine that I’m using as a source to take the idea and story and convert it script format in Final Draft. i’m having chat gpt grade it for me. (Honestly I haven’t done too badly for the most part - but definitely have room for improvement!) Are they any other suggestions on how to get a feel for writing in script format? Or just keep practicing in this type of way? Thank you! I’m flushing out my characters for my first screenplay using the Forge GPT and in the course of two days have come up with so many good things. I cannot wait to start actually writing it!

@Chad Desrochers that makes a ton of sense. I appreciate that! Yeah I’ve been on the script slug website and read through some of the more popular movies first 50ish pages and have learned quite a bit just from that too. I love your action stack idea! Once I get into the rhythm and have something I definitely plan on making one of the calls. Just still in the planning and learning stage right now :)

@Chad Desrochers once I can fit it into my work schedule I’ll do that. Thank you!
Hello from Omaha, NE!
Hello all! I am reaching out from the entertainment capital of the world, Omaha, Nebraska! LOLOLOL. I hope you all are doing well! I am brand new to the Writer's Forge Community. This is my first post! Looking forward to meeting some of you! I am fairly new to screenwriting... about 6 years and counting. I am excited to learn more! I have written two screen plays so far. I suppose I can expound on those as discussions happen! Talk soon!

I’ve loved movies my whole life and I’ve been writing for fun since the 7th grade. I decided to put that practice into action!
