@Tia Simmons I have been busy rebranding my whole business and offer
I’m about to run my first consulting offer with a test client.
I’m about to run my first consulting offer with a test client, and I’d love a second opinion on a decision I’ve been going back and forth on. I’ve spent about a week building the offer, and I want to test the delivery before anyone pays for it. My plan is to do it for free, not at a discount. My reasoning is that a discount still makes the person a paying client, and a paying client deserves a finished offer. I want my first run to be with someone who knows it’s a test. I also decided what “worked” means before I start, so I can’t talk myself into a good result afterward. It’s five things, including whether they finish onboarding and whether they understand the roadmap at the end. One thing I realized is that a free run can only tell me if my delivery works. It can’t tell me if people will pay. That’s a separate test. So I’m curious what you think. If you’ve tested an offer before, did you do it free, discounted, or at full price? And what do you wish you had decided before you started?

As a founder, I learned this early.
Everyone obsesses over getting clients. No one obsesses over what client feels after they pay. My Feed is full of outreach scripts, ad angles, cold DM templates. No one shows what happens after someone says yes. Your first client can not tell it is your first. But they can feel when it is messy. If they pay and then wait to hear what happens next, they start to wonder if you know what you are doing. So I built delivery before I chased clients. I mapped onboarding. What they see in first 5 minutes to calm buyers remorse. I mapped delivery. What happens on each call, what I do in between, what they walk away with. I mapped offboarding. What result looks like and how they can talk about it.If those three are clear, your first client feels like your tenth. Here is test I used. If someone paid you today, could you show them exactly what happens in next 7 days in one page, without typing new message. If you cannot, do not run more outreach. Build that page first. That is what makes someone feel taken care of from day one.

@Pamela Igwe your welcome 😊
Walking away from free pizza is painful, but sometimes necessary.
(That is exactly how it feels to turn down a customer. Same pain, less cheese.) As a founder, you have to decide who you are saying no to. I built my website for Solo Scales last week, and I added this whole section on who I am not a fit for, and I put it there on purpose. Saying no to buyers feels like losing money, and I get it. But a page that tries to be right for everyone ends up clear to no one. I also think the right people trust you more when you are willing to turn some people away. So here is a test you can try this week. Can you name three kinds of customers you would turn down today? If you cannot, you probably have not decided who you are for yet. (I know that is an uncomfortable question for a Tuesday. You’re welcome.) P.S. Who are the three kinds of customers you would turn down? Drop them in the comments, because I am genuinely curious. P.P.S. I made a video on this exact topic on my Instagram. If you want to see it, along with other videos like it, let me know in the comments or just head over to my Instagram.

Looking for creators to collaborate with 🙌
Hey everyone! Quick one. As you all know I work as a content strategist for a company called Nuvex Nova so basically we’re growing the ambassador program at Nuvex Nova, and I’m looking to team up with creators who make short or long-form videos. If you’ve got an audience that trusts you, you’re a fit. Doesn’t matter how big it is. Interested? Drop a comment or DM me and we’ll talk.
