Where I get really confused is what currency’s I run across what networks. Like ethereum network runs ERC 20 , ETH. Then I see there will lower gas fee on different networks and I’m not sure if it is Better to use them .

Yes your right there is also how you can run erc20 over eth. And sol you can run RAY AND A FEW OTHERS THROUGH THAT network plus usdc usdt across most I have seen the on the trust wallet and some other exchanges that flex gas has made some deals to provide some gas fees so people don’t get stuck Like me I k ow it only like 4 to 5 rite now

I have okx wallet web 3. I somehow Ended up with XUSDT IN. MY OKX I try to send it out I have insufficient Okb for fees I try to swap same thing Do I need to buy Okb at the exchange and send it to the wallet Why is it charging a fee for the same network ?
