Clue 1 Complete
A girl has a right to change her mind! I swapped out the green colour family I had initially chosen for a yellow/ brown option. The purple (Colour C) is 4 ply Inca Sun Heritage held together with Yarnfloozy. My choice for Colour A&D is Choice Yarns NZ Merino/Arapawa 8 Ply

@Robyn Fyfe it’s scary the first time but I have found felting to be so secure and a very tidy finish so not scary now.

Love those colours! Great choice!
What's one thing you wish you had known when you started doing colorwork?
There are a million tutorials and videos out there on doing stranded colorwork (at least it feels that way!). Since a lot of people seem to have finished with clue 1, as we wait "patiently" for clue 2 to drop what is one thing/tip you wish you had known (or was explained more clearly) when you started doing stranded colorwork? If you still aren't sure or don't know, feel free to add that to your comment too! For me, the one thing I searched high and low for and to this day am not 100% clear on is "spreading your stitches on the right hand needle to ensure your floats aren't too tight". I understand the purpose, but no one really explains what they mean by that. Spread them so they're nicely side by side and not squeezed? Spread them so they're stretched a bit? So they're stretched a lot? I see some beautiful smooth stranded work out there and would love to know what people find works best for this!

@Coranne Hodgkinson I taught myself how to do continental knitting so I could hold the colours in both hands for correct tension, more consistent stitches but also to prevent yarn snarls. Also learning about colour dominance and which hand to hold the colours in for prominence of desired colour.
Will these color combos work?
a: greys B: mulberry C: blue D: combo of grey from a and goldenron

Gorgeous combination! Looking forward to your progress!
Clue 1 done!
As other have already said, this is going to be a long week, but I love that it's a manageable amount - some KALs I've done weren't designed for people with a job and multiple children!
