In feng shui, red is considered a lucky color. It corresponds to south and fire. A very initiating energy. And if you want MORE of something - red is the way to go. Having a red door is good feng shui (I’m no feng shui expert I just incorporate what I know) - the idea being that because red invites energy, a red door will assist in bringing chi into your home. Luckily the house I’m currently in has a red door. 😅 But! You don’t want excess, that would lead to aggression and over emphasis on the relationship to the material world.
