Here’s a quick guide: 🔹 Service Business: You get paid for doing work or providing a service for clients. Examples include photographers, landscapers, cleaners, accountants, and virtual assistants. 🔹 Product Business: You sell physical products such as handmade goods, clothing, food, skincare, or retail items. 🔹 Coaching / Consulting: You help people achieve results by sharing your expertise through coaching, mentoring, advising, or consulting. 🔹 Membership or Community: Your business is built around a paid membership, subscription, or community where members receive ongoing value. 🔹 Course Creator: You create and sell online courses, workshops, or educational programs. 🔹 SaaS / Software: You sell software, apps, AI tools, or subscription-based technology solutions. 🔹 Agency: You provide specialized services through a team, such as marketing, web design, advertising, branding, or development. 🔹 Creator / Personal Brand: Your business is centered around you as the brand. A little of everything. Skin care, custom aromatherapy products especially for autism, educator, writer/author, content creator, auyrveda, reiki, disability advocate, nurse and most importantly, mom.
Emojis? Yes or No?
How much do you like emojis in a post or a text when you read it? Do you have a limit of how many you allow in your writing? I noticed myself moving away from them a lot, similar to em dashes. Not a big fan anymore. And you?

I use them to dress up text, however, they are not necessary

@Katrin Birkholz it's visually interesting. Reading a big bunch of words can make your eyes cross but if you use a little emoji, it makes it more interesting plus it helps to get your point across as many things are lost in translation
Are PDFs dead?
I have been building digital businesses long enough to see trends come and go like the tide. Lately, there is a lot of noise about the PDF being dead. Some people in the tech world are very quick to say we should leave it behind for good. I was recently part of an AI community where I shared my thoughts on this. I suggested that even as we move toward new systems, we should still offer both options to our clients. I wanted to help people adapt slowly rather than forcing a big change all at once. To my surprise, those comments were deleted. It felt a bit cold. It reminded me that sometimes in the rush to be modern, we forget to be human. When I asked the community owner why my comments seemed to have been deleted, she said: "PDFs ARE DEAD!" PDFs have some real problems, too. They are hard to read on a phone. You have to pinch and zoom, which is frustrating for many of us. They also aren't very accessible for people using screen readers. If you want to track how many people actually read your guide, a PDF won't tell you much. But they aren't gone yet. A PDF is a safe space for many. For things like contracts or workbooks you want to print, it still feels solid and real. I personally love to print and read with a cup of coffee away from screens. But maybe I'm becoming old school. LOL. We are seeing a shift where AI is making these files more useful. You can now chat with a document to get a summary or find a specific fact. This is a helpful step forward. My advice is to stay grounded. If you are sharing a resource, try offering a mobile-friendly web page and a PDF download. This shows you care about how your audience learns👇👇. It gives them a choice. Moving slowly is okay. You don't have to break everything to be current. Just keep your clients' comfort in mind as you try new tools. Thank you for reading all the way to here. xx Katrin 💜

@Kathy Fluch when I was in nursing school, we had to read and retain so much information because we had a test every single day, no joke. So after 8 hours in classes 5 days a week plus clinical weekends, I would read 4-5 hours a night for a test the next morning, plus I worked a night shift job. That was just how it was 28 years ago.

@Kathy Fluch they aren't. I precepted nursing school students for 2 different colleges, and it was BAD. They didn't know their pharmacology very well, absolutely no knowledge on skills, really bad vital signs and when I say bad, I mean giving me blood pressures like 80/160.. what is that?! Also, not recognizing symptoms that require someone being sent to the hospital from the nursing home where I worked at the time.
What are you working on today to get more leads & Challenge...
𝗔𝗹𝗲𝘅 𝗛𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗼𝘇𝗶 𝘀𝗮𝘆𝘀: I can virtually guarantee that basically everyone on Earth doesn't know you exist and so the first four hours of every day should be dedicated to solving that problem and going from obscurity to being aware and so we do that by doing the core for more which is you have to do more Outreach cold or warm you have to make more content or you got to run ads but the thing is is you don't need to do all of them you pick one you go all in and that's what you spend your first four hours every single day on." This is straight out of this video watched by 1.3 Million people (I wonder how many took his advice :-): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HxEQCHpZzHk&t=135s When you hear it, it seems extreme, but then it makes total sense (of course) because if you do all the "busy" things but don't lead into your door, why do you have a business, right? Email is still one of the strongest (organic) you-own-it type of conversion mechanisms in 2026. Tony Robbins, Neil Patel, Amy Porterfield, Jenna Kutcher - everyone still bets on email marketing. So today I will add a Lead Magnet to my page at https://aigrimm.com/. Crossing my fingers :-) Maybe you can get it up and running tonight. 🤯 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝗲 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆: I will use AI Grimm, Gamma, Mailerlite, and Stripe to complete this. If I get around it, I will add an upsell to cover future ad costs. 1. I need to choose a topic. 2. I need to integrate it into my website. 3. I need to create a beautiful PDF. 4. I need to connect it to Mailerlite for catching leads 5. Create an email sequence in Mailerlite to deliver the lead magnet 6. Connect it to Stripe if I want to offer an upsell to cover ad costs (optional for me today) 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲 𝗜 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲: My daughter is sick at home. Are you up for anything crazy today to get leads and get you focused on one thing only and that is answering the question: HOW TO GET MORE LEADS? Let me know in the comments, if you do anything like this, this week still! A little challenge/accountability here in this gorup :-)

Making products for an event and trying to make products look pretty. Also, writing and calling my reps to fight back against SB385 in Ohio. How dare they, the audacity. Also, fighting for disabled individuals rights. We actually have a petition we were getting signatures for an equal rights amendment because this is where we are. Again, the audacity of Ohio.
