Consistency beats intensity.
Training extremely hard once in a while can feel productive, but real progress in Jiu-Jitsu comes from showing up consistently over time. The students who improve the most aren’t always the ones training at maximum intensity every session — they’re the ones who keep coming back week after week, putting in steady effort and building on the fundamentals. Jiu-Jitsu is a long journey, and small improvements made consistently will compound into real skill, confidence, and understanding of the art. Some days you’ll feel sharp, other days you’ll feel tired or off. That’s normal. What matters is continuing to show up, learn, and put in the work. You don’t have to train at 100% every day — you just have to stay consistent and trust the process. Over time, consistency will always outperform short bursts of intensity. So keep showing up, stay patient, and focus on getting just a little better each time you step on the mats. Your future self will thank you for it. How often are you currently training each week?
