Mushin, daily practice.
Monday motivation. 😃
Monday has come around again, and with the darker evenings and wet, miserable weather, finding your get-up-and-go can take a little more effort. If you’re feeling that today, you’re probably in good company 😊 Give yourself something to look forward to this week. Put some music on, make a little space and spend a few minutes moving. Loosen your shoulders, take a gentle stretch and enjoy a few slow, comfortable breaths. You don’t need a full workout or bags of energy to make a start. That’s something we love about Mushin Wellbeing®: you can meet yourself where you are and move at your own pace. And as we head into the darker months, let’s keep this group somewhere we can find a bit of warmth, encouragement and connection. A quick hello or a few kind words might be just what someone needs today. What’s one small thing you’re going to do for yourself this week? Pop it below. Mine is making time to pause, breathe and enjoy a little movement 🙏🏻

Mushin Wellbeing,
Real benefits from Mushin Well-being
Sometimes the best way to explain Mushin Wellbeing® is simply to let someone who attends tell you what it has done for them. One of our Swindon members recently shared this after five months of attending Mushin Wellbeing®: “I have arthritis in my knee, which had affected my mobility and made everyday movements such as walking, bending my knee, getting up from the floor and balancing difficult. Since starting Mushin, I have noticed a real improvement in my mobility. I can bend my knee more easily, my balance has improved, and I feel more confident in what my body is capable of doing. What I love about Mushin is that it isn’t about how much you can do or trying to keep up with everyone else. The movements can be adapted to suit your individual needs. Mushin has given me the confidence to keep moving despite having arthritis and has shown me that exercise doesn’t have to mean jumping around or doing high-impact movements to make a difference. After five months, I can genuinely feel the benefits.” And that, for me, is the beauty of Mushin Wellbeing® It is deliberately simple. Think of some of the principles and gentle, flowing movement associated with Tai Chi, but developed into a system that is much easier to learn, easier to practise and, importantly for where we’re going next, easier to teach. Mushin can be adapted to the person in front of you. It supports movement, mobility, balance, coordination and confidence, all of which can play an important role in helping people remain active, maintain their independence and reduce the risk of falls. Classes in Swindon and Mushin Wellbeing® sessions delivered in other parts of the UK over the years have already shown us just how much potential there is in this simple approach to movement and wellbeing. Now we’re ready for the next chapter. In early 2027, I will be launching the Mushin Wellbeing® Coach Programme. Through a combination of online learning and face-to-face practical training, people will be able to train towards becoming qualified and licensed Mushin Wellbeing® Coaches, with continued support from the Mushin Wellbeing® team.

Real benefits from Mushin Well-being
Welcome.
🌿 A fresh start for Mushin Wellbeing® Hello everyone, and welcome back! 😊 I’m getting our Mushin Wellbeing® community moving again, and I’d love you to be part of it. It’s easy to get caught up looking after everyone else and leave very little time for yourself. This group is a place to pause, reconnect and take small, manageable steps towards feeling better. We’ll be exploring gentle movement, balance, mobility, mindful breathing and relaxation, with encouragement and practical ideas you can bring into everyday life. Whether you’re already enjoying Mushin Wellbeing® or you’re completely new, you’re welcome here. There’s no pressure to keep up or be at a particular level. Start where you are and work at your own pace. 💬 Let’s start with you: what would you most like to make time for? 🌿 Moving more comfortably ⚖️ Improving balance and confidence 🧘 Finding a little more calm 🤝 Connecting with a supportive community Pop a comment below, say hello and tell us what brought you here. If you’ve been quietly following along, this is a lovely time to join the conversation. I’m looking forward to building this community with you. Mushin Wellbeing®
