I’m hosting my first training in my new position and while there is a lot of information to go over, I also want to make it fun and engaging! One idea I had was to do a Kahoot quiz with some of the policies we need to review. What fun things do you did in your trainings that volunteers enjoy? Have any ice breakers that are crowd favorite?

Hi! I am 1 year into my role as Kids Coordinator at my church and I just had my first application come in to serve in kids ministry who is not a believer. They believe a lot of the core beliefs of the faith and have a strong desire to raise their children in the faith. She says that she just isn't quite there yet when it comes to her faith but she desires to. Our pastor just did a sermon on serving and she said she has a better understanding of serving and wants to use her love for kids to serve in kids. Have others encountered this? How did you navigate it?

Hi! I just started in a new role as Children's Minister to a ministry with about 120 volunteers. Previously, all communication to volunteers was phone calls and text. I have begun using e-mail for mass communication but would also like a way for teachers to communicate with each other and me (possibly by grade). I was thinking something like GroupMe or WhatsApp? Has anyone used something similar or have any recommendations?
