I just discovered Perplexity -
I don't understand why nobody talks about it more for VA work. I was spending so much time doing research for my client by going through multiple websites and copy pasting information. Someone told me to try Perplexity, and it literally pulls everything together with sources in one place. Is this actually reliable enough to use for real client research, or is it just good for quick lookups?

I just tried this for the first time yesterday after seeing it mentioned a few times and I had the exact same reaction 😳 I spent 45 minutes last week manually pulling together research from different tabs for a client and I just did the same type of task in about 8 minutes with Perplexity. the sources showing up alongside the answer is the part that makes it feel more trustworthy than just asking ChatGPT something. I'm still checking the sources before sending anything to a client but it's so much faster than what I was doing before.
Okay random question 😅
How are you guys organizing client passwords/login stuff safely? One client keeps sending me passwords on WhatsApp and I feel like that’s probably not the best setup lol. I’m still pretty new to VA work so curious what people normally use.

I had the exact same situation a few weeks ago client was sending passwords over WhatsApp and it made me uncomfortable but I didn't know what to suggest instead 😅 someone in this community recommended 1Password and it genuinely solved it. you create a separate vault for each client so everything is completely isolated and you can share specific logins with them securely without them ever seeing your other clients' details. it's not free but it's cheap enough that I didn't hesitate once I understood what it actually does. definitely worth looking into before it becomes a bigger problem.
Just tried Gemini for the first time after months on ChatGPT and honestly surprised by it.
I'd always just assumed ChatGPT was the default and never really questioned it but someone in this community mentioned Gemini last week so I finally gave it a go. for a couple of tasks it actually felt more natural to use especially when I was working with a Google Doc directly, the integration made everything so much smoother. that said I'm not ready to switch completely because I'm still figuring out where each one is actually better. is anyone using Gemini regularly for VA work? would love to know which tasks you find it better for because I want to keep testing rather than just defaulting to what I know.
Just wrapped up a full content repurposing project for my client and I still can't believe how fast it went
They had 6 months of podcast episodes sitting there doing nothing and wanted them turned into LinkedIn posts Instagram captions and newsletters Before I would have been manually going through each episode taking notes and writing everything from scratch Honestly would have taken weeks Used Castmagic to process all the audio files and it pulled out quotes highlights and content angles automatically then I cleaned everything up and formatted it for each platform Client got a full 6 month content library in 4 days and literally said it was the best investment they made this quarter That felt really good

This is so inspiring 😊 I had no idea Castmagic existed until just now and I immediately went to look it up. the idea that you could turn 6 months of podcast episodes into a full content library in 4 days is honestly mind-blowing to me I would have assumed that was weeks of work. I'm not at the stage of taking on projects like this yet but I'm saving this for when I am. did you need much experience with the tool before using it on a real client project or is it fairly straightforward to pick up?
Okay random question 😅
How are you guys organizing client passwords/logins safely? One client wants me handling like 7 different tools now and I’m lowkey scared of messing something up or losing access. Right now I just have a messy Google Doc which I know is probably bad lol.

I was doing the exact same thing until someone in this community mentioned 1Password a few weeks ago 😅 just switched over and the difference is massive each client has their own vault so everything is completely separated. I was genuinely nervous about the setup but it took less than an hour and now I don't have that low-level anxiety about accidentally sharing the wrong login anymore. definitely worth moving off Google Docs for this one.
