Our walk with Jesus is not linear. It has it ups and downs. You will lose heart. You will lose hope but if you tend to your relationship with God daily, and not just occasionally in those moments, you will have comfort. The verse “I can do all things through Christ Jesus that strengthens me” is talking about moments like this. It’s often quoted in a way that means you can achieve literally anything just because you know God of which is true, but not realistic, but rather in moments where your weak in your own strength the strength of Christ will help you over the hump and carry you over that hill. That’s why we need him. It’s because no matter where you go no matter what you do the closer you get to Christ you start to notice how weak you really are and why you need God so it’s OK to be discouraged at times. Be humble and pray ask for help and find people who can help you through those times also. That’s how God can help you also, through other people.
