A battle I fight that others can't see, is the struggle of living with my feet in two worlds... the physical realm of this world, and the remembrance of feeling of missing "home" that I returned to during my near-death experience, NDE, when I overdosed and then revisited in my 5-MeO medicine ceremony. The Shaman in my Ayahuasca medicine ceremony let me know that I was preoccupied with dying / returning home and needed to further integrate my psychedelic journeys into grounding in and living in this world/realm. It's been a daily work in progress through contemplation, meditation, visits in and with nature, exercise, and mindfulness. Over time, with the help of my new husband, I've been able to once again embrace the joy of many of the places, creative projects and exploration of the magic that exists in this world.
Introduction
Hello, all! Here's a little bit about me and my personal experience with the sacred medicines... I lost my husband Lee, partner of 32 years, suddenly and unexpectedly of a heart attack on Oct. 27, 2019. This resulted in extreme grief which led to depression and an attempt to unalive myself on Nov. 20th of that year. When I crossed over and had a brief near death experience, NDE, I was brought back by the doctors, actually twice. Being home was beautiful, and I was very upset that my experience was interrupted and initially resented being brought back through the veil and I wasn't quite ready to accept my return to the grief that led to my decision to leave this plane. After a couple nights in the Emergency Room and a few days in a Psych Ward, I went on a mission to find a way to receive answers and understanding. One month later, in December of 2019, I was called to a sacred medicine ceremony (Bufo) that returned me back through the veil home and provided me the same unconditional love I experienced in my NDE, but without interruption and with the ability to return and begin integrating the experience while allowing healing to begin. As I mentioned, I was called by and to the sacred medicine Bufo Alvarius (5-MeO-DMT). Here's a link to a video I made discussing this - https://youtu.be/8IsPC5rtn0s?si=rQ759EZofntorZzZ Here's a link to the video in which I share the Sacred Ceremony experience - https://youtu.be/H4QlEQkku0g?si=edtolfTO5zeK3z6B In and through this experience I became aware of the oneness of everything! I came to understand the Divine Agreement Lee and I made to journey this life together... and for him to leave before me. It's a painfully beautiful gift of growth in Love! All is perfect. Even my attempt to unalive myself was perfect. It was and is all part of our contract. I came to understand that everything that ever was, that is and that will ever be, all exists in the eternal Now. I went home, I remembered. I remembered that I actually never left. I am journeying through the matrix and experiencing this illusion we call life. All that is truly real is Love! Love is what we are... and now we are called to remember...

@Jeremy Hardy, first and foremost, thanks so much for your service! I'm glad you heeded invitation of your friend, and the call of the medicine. My father was a war Veteran who suffered with severe PTSD. He passed away when I was 23. I saw the toll the PTSD took on him through his living years. I also lost an older brother who was a Vietnam Veteran to suicide. I truly respect and appreciate the work you are doing to help Veterans and First Responders find peace and healing through the medicine, Jeremy. I look forward to connecting further as we learn and grow together, my brother and friend. 💗🙏💗

Kerby, I agree with you completely. 5-MeO was a catalyst for a change in mindset for me that, with dedication to integration, led to life-saving transformation. I've shared an introduction in the category of General Discussion with my story/experience. Also, on another note, as a retired trauma informed guidance counselor who worked for a number of years with the Native American population, I understand the importance of addressing patterns and habits resulting from historical trauma and generational cycles, often including abuse, through integration techniques following a powerful medicine ceremony. Again, like you mentioned, the medicine can open the door to healing, but then we must, as it is often referred to, "do the work". I prefer to frame it in a mindset of retaining the glow through self-loving practices of acceptance, grace and healing, such as meditation, journaling, breathwork, talk therapy, etc. Disclaimer, I don't profess to have it all figured out and I'm definitely here to learn from you and others. Thanks again for making this space possible! 💖
