@Khalid Khan all good, thanks mate. You sound like a B2B guy.
Using IVOC data
Hi everyone, I hope I'm in the right place to ask this....also, sorry for a potentially silly question... I've been doing some IVOC research to help with my emails. I've got lots of great data and now I'm wondering how I can use it. Can I use the quotes I've found in a more direct way? For example, i've found a parent on a FB group say 'my child always runs out of time in exams'. Can I reframe that in my email as 'I was catching up with a friend yesterday and she told me how her son always runs out of time in exams'. It feels a bit deceptive to eavesdrop and then pass off the comment as a personal conversation but I'm trying to incorporate storytelling techniques as well. Any thoughts?

@Clare Turnbull check out Copy That's 22 Hour Megacourse on Youtube. There's a research section that goes through Alex Myatt's IVOC process. Makes it easier to categorize and create ideas, at least for me. https://youtu.be/tC6bom34his?si=TCo0AJaG_YbiADWh&t=11147 And to answer your question: "My child never finishes exams" = Idea (Desire - moving away from mental/emotional pain) And then you're saying 're-frame', but I'd call that a Style. So you can do... "My child never finishes Exams" = Idea + Listicle --> 7 Reasons Brilliant Kids Struggle With Boring Exams "My child never finishes exams" = Idea + Historical Narrative --> Winston Churchill failed every exam he ever took until his uncle, a Provost at Oxford, told him this 18th century test taking secret. "My child never finishes exams" = Idea + Bizarre --> Why This Scandanavian Cult Leader's 27 Children All Got Full-Ride Scholarships to Harvard, Princeton or Yale (Without Being Good at Sports!) Went off the rails there at the end. But that's one way you can do it.
30k in 30 days - Day 5
"The one thing that unites all human beings, regardless of age, gender, religion, economic status, or ethnic background, is that, deep down inside, we all believe that we are above-average drivers." - Dave Barry Outreach: 0 Meetings: 2 Proposals: 0 Energy: 5/10 Cognition: 5/10 - Meeting with agency that's lead gen prospect. They want to split their campaign in two. One for each founder. I don't like this idea. Having a dragon with two heads sounds cool. But you have to pay twice for everything because two heads = two funnels. And your website ends up like, "We help companies" meaning you can't dial in message-match for either funnel correctly. Little annoying. This invoice will cover a good chunk of 30k goal... but I can't and won't sell CMO's projects I don't think are going to work. Not who I want to be. - Meeting with CRO agency dude who's doing the actual outreach. He's got the right disposition for it. He didn't know he's cold calling people. He's cold calling people. See what happens. - Reverse engineer one ad. Starting to get the hang off AI Storymonial & Historical Narrative Styles. The guy I'm working for is too smart. Hurts my brain. It's normal. You get used to it. Soon other people will say this about you. - Did 10 Full Briefs for DTC brand. 5 RMX Concepts and 5 New Concepts. Their meta account is like 80/20 old-to-new right now, so I figure a 50/50 mix old-to-new mix is a step in right direction. Ideal is 70/30 new according to Alex Myatt, but this brand is more focused on scaling the winners. - Staying up late to finish a couple old To Do's that are now like touching wet food in the sink. Clock in 9am. Clock out 1am. Net new $0 Cheers, Keith
Day 3 & 4 - 30k in 30 days
"I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times." - Bruce Lee Outreach: 0 Proposals: 0 Meetings: 0 Energy: 8/10 Cognition: 8/10 Sunday, Day 3 - Met with CSA friend to go over final project. Figured out how to remove captions from brands existing meta video ads. Still no idea what to do for AI statics, but it's nothing that coffee can't solve. - Banging head against the wall trying to figure out RMX (remix) ads. This is the FB Winning Ad re-combination thing. Completely failed to figure it out with AI. Do it by hand tmrw. It's actually a good thing AI sucks at this. Clock in at 9am and clock out at 11am. Monday, Day 4 - Learned a new phrase: "premature optimization." What a great phrase. If you know, you know. If you don't know, it's when you're doing zero outbound and think you need to set up a pipeline in GHL or when you build a website before you have a client. Lots of examples. - Re-did RMX ads matrix at work with hands and brain. This will be the offer. I can do it from outside their Facebook account. Minimal editing because most of footage is already shot. Upsell is a lay up. Lots of options with this one. - Hypertide sales call was pretty chill. It's a good deal. 1.5k upfront for 150k emails. Don't have to buy domains which is nice. Valid for forever, so you don't get billed again unless you use it. Only other charge is $0.001 per email sent. Neat business model. - Set up Cowork in Claude and Tasks in Grok to find leads for RMX offer. Prompt below. It's better in Grok than Claude. - Reverse engineered one ad. Clock in at 9am. Clock out 3pm. Net new $0 Figured out offer. Need to figure out distribution next. Cheers, Keith
