Alex, your work is much appreciated. I have yet to go through the materials in your course that I purchased in December, but I imagine some questions may arise from that. I recently attended an earthen plaster workshop here in CA, and while it went well, and it was nice to be hands on, I have had issues sourcing materials. Oddly enough, I haven't had the most luck finding finer sands nor bagged clay. So, visits to building supplier shops would be fun to watch, especially if they include bigger national chains that we might have in our areas. I'd be interested in seeing some hempcrete work and an analysis of how it compares working with to the other materials. Also, since it seems like I'll have to be in CA for the unknown future, if you have any information, contacts, or owner/builder stories from a more restrictive state like this, I would love to hear it. My family has considered purchasing "rural" land (at least, what is considered rural for where we are located), but the price is so high that we cannot take a chance getting reported on for living in grey areas regarding building codes.
