The first medical emergency of Wednesday October 29 involved my daughter’s teeth. As I was driving her home from the dentist, the second emergency struck. Below are two images of my heart. The pinched artery in the first image is 95 percent occluded. The second image shows the same artery with a stint added, opening up the blood flow and expanding the artery to its original form. Isn’t science wonderful! The procedure was REALLY interesting. I have to take it easy for a few days, but I’ll be back in the saddle soon.

It's amazing to me that this channel could pull together a 31 minute video on this topic full of goofy graphics. But I thought this was interesting and thought I should share it. What do you think about this sort of long-from content on astronomy. Good for generating sincere interest, or not? Let me know. Shawn

Well, I got the first video done in our ongoing series to promote mad science and expand our ranks. The inaugural video doesn't have high production value (still moving up the learning curve), but it's illustrative of what I intend to do; create bitesized pithy content that explains one key issue that can advance one along their journey into mad science. For now I want to keep these under 3 minutes. Let me know what you think of this one. The next video will explain how to get liquid nitrogen into your laboratory. Although I have a long list already, I'd be grateful for any suggestions for additional topics. I hope to get the next video online on July 5, and then continue the series roughly every three days.
