Motivational Weekend Mindset
Our weekends can just fly by without practical goals in mind. The journey of my health routine this past year has been to change my daily habits with more physical and spiritual exercises in order to grow my mindset of positive health. And this includes the weekends! I am holding myself accountable for creating lasting changes by developing skills aligned with my goals to better health both mentally and physically. Think about what you love to do that moves your body, whether it's swimming, dancing, walking, gardening or yoga. Pick one activity and incorporate it into your weekend! A quote from Goldie Hawn, "I've come to believe that seeking happiness is not a frivolous pursuit. It's honorable and necessary. And most people forget to even think about it."

Nice mindset. I like the idea of weekends being intentional instead of just downtime. That consistency angle really does matter more than big efforts. What’s been the biggest change you’ve noticed since you started doing that?
Meditation
A few months ago I had purchased a book by OSHO: Meditation The First and Last Freedom. I had only intermittently used meditation in my life for times when I was feeling overwhelmed or anxious and believed I could incorporate deep breathing techniques with a blissful nature background music selection to help my nerves unwind after a stressful day. I have found this book to be very poignant and allow me to better understand the quietness and art of "just being" to a degree of value that far replaced my conventional notions of meditation. I would highly recommend checking out this book if you are looking for a well-written and clarifying read on the unique health benefits of meditation. I will now leave you with just one quick excerpt from this motivational book. Aloneness: Your Self-Nature Aloneness is a flower, a lotus blooming in your heart. Aloneness is positive, aloneness is health. It is the joy of being yourself. It is the joy of having your own space.

The idea of aloneness being a 'lotus blooming in your heart' is so powerful. I love how this reframes the quiet moments we often try to fill. Thanks for sharing such a clarifying read, @Melissa Hennen 🙏
