Your Go-To Method for Memorizing a Presentation?
What methods do you use to memorize your speeches? I’m exploring different ways speakers prepare before going on stage, and I’d love to learn what actually works for you.

@Lucas Reuterstig Thank you for this valuable insight! I really like how you explained the difference between short and long presentations. Your point about shorter talks needing more precise wording, while longer presentations allow more flexibility and connection with the audience, really helped put things into perspective for me. I especially love your point about including personal stories and playing with the audience. It reminded me of an event I attended where they did something called “pictureoke” (I may not be spelling it correctly 😄). Instead of karaoke with songs, people used pictures and storytelling, and it made the presentation so engaging and memorable. Your comment brought that experience back to my mind. Really appreciate you taking the time to share this!

@Wolfram Grohnert I think I’m still quite early in my presentation journey, so I’m still figuring out my own style. At the moment, I feel I naturally lean more toward understanding the ideas first before I find the right words to express them, which sometimes makes me less flexible in the moment. That said, I would really like to develop more impromptu speaking ability over time, so I can respond more naturally instead of relying too much on preparation. Really appreciate you sharing your perspective — it gave me a lot to reflect on.

@Lucas Reuterstig Thank you 🙏 I really appreciate the trust and encouragement. It means a lot, especially after everything life has taught me these past few years. I’m excited to reconnect with the community again and slowly contribute in meaningful ways. I have a feeling something beautiful is going to grow from this too ❤️

What creates puuuuure excitement for me? The kind that makes you giggly like a kid? Honestly… coming back here does. 🤍 After attending my dad’s funeral, I took some time away for healing and reflection. It was a much-needed pause. Now I’m stepping back in with a full heart, feeling grounded, grateful, and genuinely excited to reconnect with this community again. There’s something really special about being part of a space where we can grow, share, and support each other. That’s the kind of excitement that feels pure to me right now. So happy to be back with you all ✨
What Happened After Implementing Day 1
REALLY?! (PAUSE - 😁) I found my favorite song - and I didn't want to play any other after it. "That Summer" - Garth Brooks. (Duquesne smile 😁) So I was truly, sufficiently, and wihtout a doubt - PUMPED when I talked to my son this afternoon about business. We has been on the outs for some time, but this needed to be done. (sad face, look down on the floor and pout big 😾) Need a dopamine rush - play That Summer again and again. Ok Pumped UP!! Then my husband Ray brought in the mail. He gives me a nice card addressed to me. (Scratch my head and look puzzled 🤥⁉️ - which was easy) It was from HIM! It said "I love you SO much! Thanks for loving me. (I CRY - 😪 SOB - BIG HEARTS 💞😍🤧 hug and kiss 👄... then back to work.) MORE dopamine! 🎵🎸🎹 Fast forward (Miata 🚗) So it was for the best. I was probably overloaded with my music and would have misbehaved ☣️🪓 It was the best business talk we have had in 3 years. 🎂🎂🎂 (chocolate, but would have preferred carrot cake.) Now back to dinner with wonderful husband.

@Lilian Carroll Thank you so much. Now I am working on a backup format that will work. Incase when I am on stage unforeseen circumstances arise. After I experienced what I encountered when I was on a practice stage. I only remembered the very first sentence. I was glad that was a practice session.

@Lilian Carroll I only remembered the first sentence. I was glad it was just a practice session. At least now I know such scenario will occur. So I am going to prepare for that scenario.
