A win!
What’s up guys. Haven’t been in here for a bit due to life, but I wanted to share a win. Over the last 2 weeks I’ve gained over 2,000 followers on social media and have been getting a steady stream of inquiries about my basketball training business. To be honest, I knew social media was important, but I didn’t realize how powerful it really was until I started posting consistently. For years I treated content like an afterthought. Now I’m seeing firsthand that every post is an opportunity to help someone, build trust, and put your business in front of people who need what you offer. The biggest lesson for me has been this: You don’t need a massive following. You need consistent visibility. The more you show up, the more opportunities you create. Still a long way to go, but it’s encouraging to see the work paying off. Looking forward to seeing where this takes the business over the next few months. Thanks to everyone in this group who shares advice and experiences. It’s helped more than you know. 💪🏽

@John Younger for sure coach!
Group sessions
Hey all, when you’re running your group sessions, how do you structure your offseason workouts? I like focusing on specific skill sets because I feel going deep on one thing translates better in games. But now that my middle school and high school groups are getting bigger, I’m trying to figure out the best balance. Do you stick with one concept until the group really grasps it? Or do you mix multiple skill sets throughout the season? How are you guys getting real results with slightly bigger groups?

You know what? This will be a great series! But I gotta give it to the team that’s been there before.
Collaboration > Competition
Let’s find a way to connect! Coaches/trainers drop what market that you are in. If you are in the same city, it’s time to squad up. Joint camps, clinics, and training camps.

@Blair Bass it’s fun!
How should you approach coaching beginners?
I would tend to believe that I have a great understanding of basketball and seeing details that players might miss. What I struggle with is breaking that down for players that have no prior experience. So coaches, how do you guys approach sessions/skills development with players that are brand new to basketball?

It’s all about the meat and potatoes. Do the basic stuff. Basic ball handling, form shooting, being able to use both hands. The cool thing about being a beginner is that it doesn’t take much for them to get better and they can get better quickly because they’re starting from nothing! Think about the drills your coach/parents made you do when you were little!
