I shortened the video so you could mainly see where Clementine is struggling. (My video only shows point a & b sorry) I’ve found she’s been doing great on long line with dogs she knows but bad with stranger dogs passing. At :55 is when I try to run seeing she’s locked in on another dog but it didn’t fully correct her so I resorted to stand on the dog. Is this the right approach? At 4:00 she also did not great with another dog passing. Let me know your feedback!
Continuing to do more long line work with Clementine (it’s never ending!). She does really well most of the time. This is a busy area with bikers going by on one path and then walkers/runners/dogs going by on the other. We were in between. At 4:40 in the video Liz walks her a little closer to the path with dogs as one walks by and Clementine struggles. This is common around other dogs especially new dogs she hasn’t met. She wants to lunge and go VERY excitedly say hi. We could use some advice on this. Does this just take more time and exposure?
