Custom GPTs - Still valuable?
I am really curious to know - how are you all feeling about custom GPTs? AI has changed a lot since they first came out and I'm wondering if it's time to retire the trainings I have around building them. Would love to know how many of you use them and still find them valuable!

I've retired my GPTs a bit over 1.5 years ago. But only because I created my own software, and now my members create their own prompts (or GPTs) inside of the software so they can use them throughout every aspect of the software and with any LLM. Like chatting with the assistant or chatting in their projects or using them in our in-house business prompts and so on.
What’s your plan for retirement?
I’m asking this seriously. About eight years ago I got divorced. My daughters eventually grew up and moved out. And suddenly I was an empty nester figuring out life again. What I didn’t expect was that the internet would become my retirement plan. Today I run Skool communities and generate about $10K–$15K a month in recurring revenue. And the best part is that I can work from anywhere in the world. That wasn’t the plan when I was working in corporate. But it became possible because I started building online. And here’s something I’ve been thinking about lately for many of you in this community… If you're here learning about AI, online business, and digital opportunities, have you considered building your own Skool community? Not because you need another project. But because it could become a second income stream for your future. Maybe it’s: • A community teaching one AI tool you’ve mastered • A space where you share prompts and workflows • A niche AI community for your industry • A Skool operator service helping other hosts run their communities • A VA pivot into Skool community management It doesn’t have to replace your income. But imagine what $1K–$2K a month in recurring revenue could do for your future. This is how many people quietly start building their retirement income online. So I’m curious: Have you ever considered opening your own Skool community? Or are you here mainly to learn AI skills? I’d love to hear where everyone’s at. 👇

I don't think I would want to retire if I continue to do what I love to do and spend my time the way it makes me happy. I have been full-time self-employed since 10 years and most days did not feel like work. For me it is more a question what do I do, after kids, when I maybe become a grandma, be there for my parents when they grow old.

@Brenda Rigney I think having the choice to do as you want and act as you wish is the ultimate freedom. I love the idea of outsourcing as well, so I can continue to create fun things. So when I'm 70 I like to choose but I maybe we do this already anyway by running our businesses :-)

Special thanks to our biggest contributors in our community! Love seeing the regulars holding strong, and the newcomers that are creating more visibility for themselves, brand and community. Here are the Top 10 members for the week: @Christine Vabre @Katrin Birkholz @Katya McEwen @Tina Campbell @Niya Davis @Jessica Clark @Alyssa Kathryn @Kerrin Kuntzman @Alexis Roark @Yokima Cureton Here's a simple way to rank on the leaderboard: 1️⃣ Post a welcome introduction here 2️⃣ Comment on 5 posts from other members that are genuine with a thoughtful comment or a follow-up question. Stay away from "Good work" or "Thank-you" comments. Those comments typically die, and you want to create a thread of conversation 3️⃣ Once you get to Level 2 (5 points) you can now starting posting a question to the community or share an insight (without links). Keep these short and engaging with a WHAT question. Capturing member's perspectives and opinions is how to grow your points. Don't try to be the guru. Create learning with others. 4️⃣ Then you'll see you're moving further up to Level 3, 4, 5. Now you are able to post about your free and paid offers in your own communities, and apply to be a speaker in our next summit. See our posting and commenting guidelines for more details Did I also mention there are rewards with training and tools that 🔓 unlock in the classroom as you reach a new level.? It's not about competition, it's about gratitude for your time and effort in our community.

You have everything you need!?
With all the tools at your fingertips, with all the ideas floating around, with all the teaching that's been done, with all the knowledge you have gained, with all the time that has passed... Where are you now? What is still stopping you from making your first 1k, then 5k, then 10k? Would love to hear your thoughts. Have a brilliant weekend! xx Katrin

@Diane Whiddon I actually listen to a lot of podcasts and I also ask my audience a lot of questions. I'm also in many communities in the comment section and look for pain points based on pain points I then create content around it. I have my own RSS feed where I get my daily news around my niche and then whatever is intriguing I can either repurpose in a way that is important for my own audience or it gives me at least an idea what I could prepare for my audience. I used to start out with pillars and I still think it is a great idea. I made a system of what to post: behind the scenes, controversial posts, educational posts, don't do that but do that instead type of posts first and after a while, you feel like you're getting a rhythm. Not sure if that makes sense? Now I use alsp reps.aigrimm.com. Brings me many new idea.
AI (Friend or Enemy?)
I still find people on social media dismissing AI and the benefits of using AI tools in your business. Be honest. Where do you stand? Is AI something you fell into or intentionally added to your business?

I went into AI completely intentionally after watching brilliant human beings struggle with the business side of their calling. I saw people with decades of expertise, practitioners who had life-changing knowledge but got stuck on the technical and business barriers to sharing it. AI became my answer to that gap. Not to replace their expertise, but to remove the overwhelm that was keeping them away from fully embracing the business side of things. I believe, AI is the great equalizer for entrepreneurs. It's letting people finally build the businesses they've been dreaming about without needing to become tech experts or needing to know everything in business to make an impact. But I'm not naive about the bigger picture. The corporate misuse and potential dark sides are real concerns I want to stay critical about. From environmental impact to the future of my two kids. For me, it comes down to intentional use. Using AI to amplify human wisdom, not replace it. To help good people get their gifts out into the world instead of staying stuck on the tools. The entrepreneurs I work with aren't becoming less human with AI. They're becoming more themselves and dare to dream. That's pretty amazing to witness.
