🚀 CalSync 1.4.1 is Available Now
Thank you to everyone who downloaded CalSync 1.4.0 and reported issues so quickly. Your feedback helped us identify and resolve a few important cloud-related problems, especially for Mac users. What’s New Cloud Sync Now Works Correctly on macOS We’ve resolved a packaging issue that could prevent the reMarkable Cloud connection from loading on the Mac version of CalSync. Cloud Sync now works immediately after installation with no additional steps. Your Tablet Always Gets the Latest Planner We’ve improved cloud updates so your reMarkable reliably refreshes to the newest version of your planner after every regeneration. Your handwritten notes continue to be preserved exactly as before. More Reliable Cloud Connections Connecting to reMarkable Cloud is now much more resilient. CalSync now automatically skips unsupported or unreadable items in your cloud account—such as documents created by newer firmware or older folders—instead of stopping the connection process. This means: • More reliable cloud connections • More dependable planner uploads • Smoother folder browsing Clearer Error Messages If something does go wrong, CalSync now displays simple, easy-to-understand messages instead of technical errors, making it much easier to understand what happened. @Jason Smith These logs are really weird: https://app.screencast.com/pRR9YEa6lRO5m. When it shows it was successful the remarkable was connected to a different computer. https://app.screencast.com/pRR9YEa6lRO5m

I want to second how great your updates have been. Every time I have raised an issue, the problem has been resolved quickly. I didn’t expect the favorites problem I mentioned to be resolved quickly and it was.

@Jason Smith very true. I worked on the first mobile payment app. ;). It took us forever to fix bugs.
A look at what's coming: reMarkable Cloud sync (in testing)
We want to share something we've been working on — and be upfront that it's still in testing. Early on, we held off on using reMarkable's cloud because we weren't sure it fit within reMarkable's service agreement. We believe we've now found an approach that respects their terms. We have it working internally, but we're still running tests before we decide whether we can release it. If it ships, here's what it would mean for you: - No Developer Mode needed to sync. Today, syncing planners requires putting your tablet into Developer Mode. This approach removes that step. - No need to be on the same network. Your planners can update wherever you are — you and your tablet no longer have to be on the same Wi-Fi. - CalSync runs everywhere, independently. It quietly keeps your planners up to date as your calendar changes. This cloud sync will most likely be a Pro feature. A note on privacy — this matters to us:CalSync still runs on your computer and stays connected. We're deliberately avoiding storing your calendar data in our own cloud. Instead, CalSync acts like a traffic controller: it watches your calendars and pushes the updated planners to your tablet as things change — so your calendar data stays with you, not on our servers. About your standby (sleep) screen:Showing your events on your tablet's standby screen will still require Developer Mode. We'll make this something you can turn on or off based on your preference. We'll keep you posted as testing continues. Thanks for your continued support — it means a lot.

I use Remarkable's cloud and I find that my calendar's sync to my other device without doing anything.

@Jason Smith I like that
Liking 1.3.1 -- except one thing -> favorite
I noticed this behavior in the previous releases -- if I mark a planner as a favorite on the tablet, it doesn't preserve it when I generate a regenerate. However, in 1.3.1, the tag is preserved, just not favorite. Can that be fixed? I didn't try the tag before so I don't know if that worked in the previous releases.

I really like this version -- just bought the software this week and I will confess the Developer Mode made me nervous. I restored my Remarkable and I am much happier.
