Confidence
Do you think strong communicators are naturally confident speakers, or do you believe confidence mostly comes from repeated exposure and practice under pressure?

I believe repeated exposure and practice under pressure helps you grow and improve
Speaking Another Language
I wanted to post about an experience I had yesterday which helped me realize that finding my way into this community is a big, ever-growing miracle in my life. I didn't specifically try to find a curriculum for learning communication. It found me, and it continues to help me learn and grow and integrate my past and my present to create the future that feels aligned with my true self. 'Cross-cultural communication.' Alice mentioned this term in a post 2 days ago, 'Who is this community for.' Yesterday, I had the chance to reconnect over a call with a lady that I knew in Honduras when I was there in 2016. I became fluent in Spanish during that time, talking to locals all day, every day. I can still fluidly comprehend written and spoken Spanish, and writing comes fairly easy, but speaking costs me more, and sometimes I can't readily find the words I need to express my ideas. During the call with my friend, I expressed my struggle to her, and she said that despite my imperfect vocabulary, she was able to understand the ideas I was trying to get across. Maybe it was the intent behind my words, or the tone I was using. It reminded me of something Alice teaches, that there is much more to communication than vocabulary. It was magical to apply in real time the things I'm learning here, like slowing down and staying confident. Communication is universal, the language for human connection, and I'm glad to be learning it here.

I always wanted to create a community based on skill-building, not just motivation. Years ago, as an entrepreneur building a startup in London, I struggled with something many people don't talk about: Getting help in the moments that mattered most. I was ashamed to ask for help. Despite having a journalism background, I didn't understand communication across different environments and cultures. Whether I was in London, Buenos Aires, or Seoul, I often didn't know who to turn to when I was stuck. Over time, I realized something: What makes or breaks us is rarely a lack of information. It's how we handle the critical moments. The difficult conversation. The presentation. The meeting. The decision. The moment when pressure is high and the stakes feel real. That's why I believe we all need lifelines. And here, we can be those lifelines for each other. My philosophy is simple: We don't need endless training. We need practice. We need accountability. We need a safe place to ask questions when they matter most. The Daily Q&A started as a surrender experiment. What would happen if we asked the questions that could change the outcome of an important decision? You don't even have to ask a question. You can simply show up. Read. Like. Comment. Because we learn from one another. A reminder: The executive struggles. The engineer struggles. The founder struggles. The coach struggles. Today, I met with a coach who works with Olympians. He shared that he—and many of his athletes—struggle with perfectionism, performance under pressure, and self-doubt. Different titles. Same human challenges. We're all human. And sometimes the most powerful thing we can do is stop pretending we have it all figured out and ask for help. Thank you for being part of this little experiment. 43 members strong. Let's keep showing up for each other. 🚀

Amazing to be a part of this community As an athlete I can resonate with feeling the self-doubt in finals of tournaments when everything is on the line. It feels better knowing that other people also feel this way
TUES MOTIVATION: Investing in SELF + Community
Happy Tuesday ☀️ One of the best investments you can make is in yourself — your skills, your mindset, your communication, your health, and your ability to adapt. Most people wait until life forces them to grow. The people who build freedom choose growth before they feel ready. Every book you read. Every difficult conversation you face. Every skill you practice. Every time you show up when you don’t feel like it… It compounds. The future version of you is built by the small decisions you make today. Keep going. Your consistency is building something bigger than you can currently see. 🔥
