Converting SSD to SSI question
If I receive SSD and it converts to SSI automatically when I reach 67, I am understanding the amount I have been receiving does not change. Am I shooting myself in the foot by getting SSD because at 67 I would have gotten XXX amount of dollars and what if my SSD is lower (If approved) and will stay that way for the duration of my life?

Thanks for the clarification & catching my mistake. You read between the lines meaning SS benefits at 67 not SSI. I should of mentioned that I am on L&I and getting compensated. I heard something about maybe making to much L&I to get my full retirement amount and that will perhaps adjust to not exceed the monthly limit. If & when I am off L&I and reach my retirement age of 67 was my concern that I will be receiving less (while on L&I) until I can switch to my retirement age of 67. My monthly pay does not go up or down was my concern when I can retire. ( I hope that makes sense?). I am as of now paying all my Medicare payments(which starts this Oct) out of my L &I disability. Plus, medical bills from my previous medical insurance. I just have to make sure my income doesn't go down because the big bills are piling on this time of the year! Thanks, and I hope you understand what I am trying to say. You are very much appreciated!
