Who has got a cruise coming up?
Hello everyone, and happy New Year!🥳 Lot's of exciting things coming up for us in 2026 and lot's of goals/ideas on the go. One of my goals/resolutions is to get back to this community, grow it, engage with fellow cruises and help any first time cruisers too! 🤩⚓ First things first, Who has got a cruise coming up? Drop your ship, sailing date, and itinerary below, let's see who's sailing soon! 🚢

Anthem Sydney to NZ South Island towards the end of the year. Third time on Anthem, we’ve done Norway and Asia on her previously.
My unpopular opinion reel blew up last week🚀
In my reel, I taked about why I think older cruise ships are better than the newer cruise ships.. So let me explain why I actually believe older cruise ships are better. 1️⃣ They're quieter. No queuing for everything. No madness at the buffet. You can actually get a sunlounger. After weeks on Voyager, I've never once fought for a seat or waited in a massive line. That changes how the whole cruise feels. 2️⃣ They're not overwhelming. You can learn the layout in a day. Get from your cabin to anywhere on the ship in minutes. No trying to find your way through fifteen decks of attractions. It actually feels like a cruise ship, that traditional vibe that got most of us into cruising in the first place. 3️⃣ They're cheaper with better itineraries. New ships often do 3-4 night runs to private islands or the same Caribbean stops everyone's done ten times. Older ships? Longer sailings. More interesting ports. Repositioning cruises. And for less money. 4️⃣ The staff actually know you. Fewer passengers means the crew remember your name, your drink, your table. You see the same faces. You have actual conversations. After a few weeks on board, it feels like a community! I'm not saying new ships are bad. They're impressive, and of course I would take any cruise ship rather than being on land! What's your preference? Drop your vote below 👇

We’re doing our third cruise on Anthem next year, purely by chance - we’ve booked by itinerary, but before that most of our cruises have been on the smaller ships. Rhapsody, Vision, Radiance, Serenade etc. waiters had our drinks ready when they saw us walk into the Schooner or Centrum. No queues, no problem getting a sun bed and dare I say it as a retired teacher, very few kids. 🤣
👋 Welcome aboard everyone!
We’ve had a few new members join this week – amazing to have you here! Drop a comment with: 🚢 The last ship you cruised on 🌴 Your favourite port stop 🍹 One thing you always pack in your cruise bag I’ll start below 👇

@Katrina Edginton you got some time in Singapore afterwards?

@Katrina Edginton obviously you have to go to Raffles Hotel for a Singapore Sling and peanuts.🥜 The Gardens by the Bay and the light show at night are pretty spectacular and you have to eat at Lau Pa Sat Hawkers Market. We also did the HOHO bus, great way to see parts of a city that you’d like to see more of.
Let’s settle this once and for all...
Would you rather: 🍽️ Eat in the Main Dining Room every night for the classic cruise experience OR 🍕 Windjammer Buffet for the no-fuss, eat-what-you-like vibe I’m curious what everyone prefers (and why!)
