One year ago almost to this date, I was baptized and rededicated my life to Christ. Looking back at this moment today reminded me just how much can change in a year. I’m not where I was a year ago, and I’m so grateful for every way God has continued to grow me, change me, and draw me closer to Him. Sometimes we can become so focused on where we’re trying to go that we forget to stop and recognize how far God has already brought us. So for this Soul Sunday, take a moment to look back. What has changed in your life over the past year? Where can you see growth that you may not have stopped to acknowledge? Thank God for the progress—even while you’re still becoming. 🙌🏾 I shared a song from church today in the comments that made this full-circle moment even more special. Good Morning everyone. Yesterday I had an interaction with someone who took a low blow at me by stating the levels in the positions we each hold at our job. They pretty much indirectly said they’re above me, they’re elevating and I’m not. In that moment I chose not to respond because little do they know I’m apart of community groups like this, I’m growing daily, my Faith walk is stronger, I’m learning, I’m healing and in the process of writing a book they have NO IDEA about. I told myself “let your results be your response”. This person had been apart of my story for years and inflicted much pain on me mentally, physically and emotionally. To me this is what it looks like to turn your pain into purpose.
