I’m back from a wonderful vacation in Orlando with my daughter, and Mommy is TIRED! We made some beautiful memories, and even on vacation, there were lessons to learn. One lesson was teaching my daughter the difference between encouragement and pressure. There were rides she wanted to experience that I had absolutely no interest in riding! It opened the door for a conversation about encouraging others without pressuring them, while also teaching her not to allow anyone to pressure her into doing something she’s uncomfortable with. Another lesson was knowing when to rest. After a six-hour drive home yesterday and heading straight to Bible study, I gave myself permission to sleep in and miss this morning’s call. I’m still tired, so while my daughter spends the weekend with her dad, I’ll be getting some much-needed rest. Sometimes the lesson isn’t to do more. It’s to recognize when you’ve done enough for now. It’s my birthday, Purpose Pushers family! I’ve spent most of the weekend relaxing and finished publishing my book, (correction see below ⏬️ ) a meaningful birthday milestone because it centers on loving myself and writing letters to my younger self. Apologies for the late post but I wasn't going to leave yall hanging like that 💕 Turning 46 while writing my book and honoring the little girl in me feels especially sentimental. 🩰 Never take life foregranted, live it to the fullest, learn something new daily, be punctual for the blessings and praise God ithroughout the midst.💕 Blessed with grace and still pushing. 💜 Quick correction: I’ve completed the manuscript and I’m officially in the publishing stage now using KDP. 💜 I caught the wording after I posted, huge milestone 🙌🏽

I previously shared that my Fall Break vacation plans were uncertain because of the storm. Well, we made it safely, and I’m grateful to enjoy time with my daughter! As I reflect this Sunday, I’m reminded that I don’t want to be a check-the-box Christian. Church and fellowship are important, but so is finding balance between serving, resting, and enjoying the blessings God has given us. Faith isn’t just about what we do on Sundays; it’s about how we live every day. Make today a great one! 💜

I’m thankful for this community of people striving to live set apart, and I’m grateful for Tony Gaskins being a vessel God has used to bring us together. The way he pours into this community is a form of discipleship, sharing what God has poured into him and encouraging us to grow in our own walks with Christ. I pray for Tony’s continued strength because this type of work isn’t easy in today’s world. I also pray for the Gaskins family as they graciously share their husband and father with the world. That’s a sacrifice worth acknowledging. Tony can’t be the only one picking up his cross daily. My hope is that we continue encouraging one another, giving ourselves grace along the way, and putting what we’re learning into practice as we walk in our God-given purpose. This week, I stepped outside my comfort zone to attend a nonprofit networking event where I made valuable connections, created my first Fourthwall product (launching soon!), and celebrated a 5-star Google review for my nurse consulting business.
