I used my phone Chat GPT yesterday in Home Depot. After asking two different sales associates where to find something they said they didn't have, I asked Chat GPT. Chat told me Home Depot carried two brands for what I was looking for, stating the name and brand. I took my phone to another sales associate, a young man. I asked Chat to explain to him what I was looking for and name the products and brands that Home Depot carried. Chat said, "Sure, what Eileen is looking for is......." The young man typed in his phone and found the product's location! He walked me to where the product was on the shelf. Then he asked me what that was on my phone. The following 10 minutes were spent showing him how to download and use the app!

I find this interesting! I worked at Home Depot in my early 20's and it was regarded as having the BEST customer service around. However, over the years of going back there as a customer, I have noticed that it has become quite lazy with what some associates want to help with. It's too bad considering their internal learning system is quite extensive and very well made. Even when I work there, I was always helping customers out in departments that weren't my own. But now, I refuse to ask for any help because I know I can find it faster and pay before even seeing the correct person to help. ChatGPT certainly is amazing!
