A company ISN'T having a job posting, but is somewhere you'd like to work (Dream 100) Then you connect with people, caht about the company, things that are intersting, etc. Then you say, hey, is the design team looking to expand/etc? Then you introduce yourself. Let me do some trial work. I have this experience, but paper doens't matter. Let me show you that I can do this work. knock it out of the park an additional conversation.
