What affirmations do you use?
Affirmations are intentional statements we use to help shape our focus, identity, and internal dialogue. They're about reinforcing the mindset we actually want to live from. The most effective affirmations are believable enough to accept, repeated consistently (and internalized over time), emotionally /value connected AND backed by action. :) These were some of the ones I've been leaning on this week: -"I owe it to myself to see how capable I truly am and to live and expand upon my potential" -"I keep promises to myself" -"I will not sleepwalk through a life others would fight for" -"I reject comfort that weakens me and I accept discomfort that strengthens me" -"I don't wait to lose things to appreciate them". Would love to hear some of yours! :) Do you use affirmations or reminders?

@Georgiana D Hey! Yes! That was me that recommended it. That book was an eye opener. I learned a lot from it and share a lot about it. And yes, we've lost a lot of these "rituals". But with the awareness of what's been lost and the benefit, we can bring aspects of it back. Also, even though it's written with the "masculine" approach, I believe there the archetypes can be very relevant and related to women as well. I have some colleague who teach and guide both genders from this knowledge and use "sovereign" or "queen" instead of king.
Personality Types
Alright fam, I've been a bit more MIA in the past two weeks doing things in the outside world, buuuuut I'm still here and still planning on contributing to skool, still planning on nurturing relationships, collaborating and adding value when I'm here. I suspect that I'll be a little less active for the next few weeks due to some other aspects of life being tended to, but I'm not gone. :) Just wanted to send you guys some love, even if I've been a bit more 'quiet'. :) Again, I still plan on being here and will likely add some things, but please feel free to post some things as well in the meantime if you are so inclined. Love you guys!! Unrelated to what I just stated, I noticed that in some of your profiles, you have your personality type added and I'd love to hear and learn more about you! QUESTION: What is your personality type? Do you agree with it? I'm an INFJ (also known as The Advocate or The Counselor--fitting). I definitely embody this. Since the letters are on a spectrum (0-100%), my goal is to be as close to center for all the letters. Not forcefully, but naturally. I want to be able to embody the strengths of each and work through some of the challenges that I also have. It's been interesting to see the progression of this for myself over the years. If you'd like to take a free test, here's a link: Free Personality Test | 16Personalities There's also a cognitive function piece to it as well--it kind of reminds me of shadow work a bit. https://www.michaelcaloz.com/personality/main-hero-2400.jpg Here's an explanation of cognitive functions, if you're interested: https://www.assessfirst.com/en/cognitive-functions-mbti/

INFP. I agree, awareness of this allows for more balance.
Bucket List---Share your Dreams :) :)
Hey Empowered Fam! :) I was just in a call with @Arthur Maddocks-Brown in his group, where we talked about creating a Bucket List and I was inspired to share this with the group! He is running a Bucket List Challenge in his group (100 goals in 5 years)!! QUESTION: What are some of the things on YOUR bucket list? I would LOVE to hear about some of these! :) Aaaaaaaand...Because this is a group about inspiring and being inspired, empowering and being empowered, and living to our fullest potential (whatever that may look like) this is a great way to support/encourage each other along the way! Some additional info about bucket list, if you'd like it! :) ------------------------------- A bucket list is an intentional inventory of experiences, goals, and growth edges you want to tend to during your life. Since we never know when our time is up, it's helpful to start now. **Think of it less like a checklist and more like a map of who you want to become.Think about the values that you hold and how the items within the bucket list serve towards those values**** Most meaningful bucket lists have a few different “buckets” inside them: 1. Experiences (the classic stuff) These are the do the thing items. The things that expand your point of reference. -Travel to places that change your perspective -Try something that scares you a little (or a lot) -Attend or participate in something you once thought was “not for people like me” 2. Growth & Becoming This is where it gets deeper--identify your values; explore past hurts; who are you becoming? These items usually feel uncomfortable to write down because they require change, not just effort. -Learn a skill you’ve always avoided -Confront a pattern you keep repeating -Develop a trait you admire in others (patience, courage, empathy, integrity) . 3. Relationship & Connection A lot of people realize late that who they shared life with mattered more than what they did. i posted a short video a while back (I'll try to find it again) about how love/relationships is what matters most to people in the end of their life. :)

🛥️What are you built for?
Ships are most safe in harbors but that's not what they're built for. In the harbors they are still open to elements that can affect them, but they were built to go out... I've had a few conversations this week about positive risk taking. Then, on the same day I had a conversation about this I received a gift with a note from my dad reminding me of this with this exact quote. Funny how things come together all at once. I needed to hear it. (Thank you) So my question to you is, what does it look like for you to step out of the harbor and where are you right now?

It's about being aware of the discomfort and.... relaxing... Reminding myself and telling myself that everything is okay. I'm challenging myself to expand my comfort zone while doing my best to keep my nervous system regulated. Slowly shifting my perception of what I'm doing and my identity
