We all face seasons of loss. Sometimes it’s someone close to us. Other times, it’s someone distant, a leader, or a voice whose influence reached far and wide. In those moments of mourning, we remember: all life is created in the image of God. Every person uses their free will - to do good, to do harm, and everything in between. Free will is what makes love for God real—but it’s also what allows for brokenness, sin, and even Hell itself. God does not force us to love Him, follow Him, or give Him praise. A person who left a mark on society, who accomplished the work God placed in their hands while here on earth.
