I discovered something interesting tonight. I watched a video on YouTube where the presenter created five apps with both Fable 5 and OpenAI's Sol. In each case, they both created very similar sophisticated apps. However, also in each case, Fable 5 took considerably longer to create the apps, and cost around $40 for each app, whereas Sol cost about $6. I just asked Sol to create me a custom screen recorder, like Loom, ScreenPal and ScreenRec, but more customized to what I want. And it did a great job. Then I wondered how much of my usage had been used up, and I checked, and I still had 95% of my usage left (Plus account), so it was pretty cool.

Anyone else just have their usage cap and Claude jump to usage credits only on Fable? I am seeing many online showing that they pulled it from Max users and it is now API only despite saying it was around until the 19th. The community is split right down the middle on this one, folks. Max users are generally popping the champagne because Fable is here to stay on their plans, while Pro users are feeling completely left out in the cold and are threatening to walk. The consensus is that the one-time $100 credit for Pro users is a bit of a joke, with many pointing out it'll burn up faster than a match in a hurricane—barely enough for one or two complex prompts. But hold on, it's not all good news, even for Max users. The top-voted comment is a stark reminder that the 50% bonus usage period also ends on July 20th. So you're getting Fable for 50% of your limit, but your overall limit is also shrinking by a third. A classic double-whammy. Most of the thread agrees this decision didn't happen in a vacuum.
