For those of you who saw my last post in regards to the Boyko device I just wanted to give you guys an update of the final the product!

Hey guys I’m sharing my experience making a bracket for a Boyko device on a drag car. I was using 3/32 rod at about 120amps. Here’s a few before and afters of the bracket mocked up and then welded. I’m really happy with the fit up for my skill level, I feel like I really went beyond what I thought I could do. The weld up on the other hand was subpar for what I was hoping for. My mistakes where using 3/32 rod instead of 1/16, I was running to hit and I need to work on my out of position welding skills. Let me know what guys think and please feel free to offer any and all criticism. I’m trying to hold myself to an extremely high standard and the only way to do so is to take good criticism and advice! 😁

Good morning fellas. I have this broken Wilton vise that I’d like to fix, but I know cast can be tricky to weld. What would you guys recommend I use for a project like this. I have zero clue where to even begin so much as not even knowing the little things like machine settings or rod/tungsten I should use
