Agent Zero as Accountant
Has anyone attempted to fully build out a bookkeeping agent on Agent Zero? Like dropping in a bank statement for the month, having an agent linked into QuickBooks via an API or whatever and have it categorize and reconcile in QB? Any success with training this? The reason I ask is because my wife has a bookkeeping and accounting small business, but is giving birth in June. I'm looking for ways to automate her work as much as possible since entrepreneurs don't really get PTO as a one person show. Any time consuming tasks that I can build out and hand off in A0 would be fantastic.

I just tagged you in a old post of mine, I set up a tax agent
Agent Zero Tax agent
Been building a Tax assistant over the last few weeks, the new digital quarter tax is a bit of a issue with us self employed, I’ve set up my own system to fix and automate it, uses WhatsApp or Nextcloud talk to advise and upload receipts/ invoices, it’s currently building its own tax brain this week, getting smarter by the day. Hopefully by the end of the month it will do my tax return for me, keep my digital records for 5 years in it’s own private ai tagged cloud file system and give me legal tax loophole advice when I get near the limit. It can handle paye, cis and vat. Spark Accounts System Overview Spark Accounts is an AI-powered UK tax accounting system built on the Agent Zero framework. Designed for self-employed tradespeople (plumbers, electricians, builders, etc.), its core philosophy is “Snap it, forget it, sorted” - eliminating manual data entry and accounting complexity for Making Tax Digital (MTD) compliance starting April 2026. Available Tools (20+) Tax-Specific Tools: ∙ receipt_ocr / ocr_fallback - Image text extraction ∙ expense_categoriser - HMRC box mapping ∙ mileage_calculator - Business mileage tracking ∙ cis_handler - CIS payment processing ∙ tax_pot_estimator - Live tax liability ∙ vat_strategist / vat_windfall_scanner - VAT optimization ∙ quarterly_reconciler - MTD preparation ∙ self_assessment_prep - SA103F pre-population ∙ knowledge_scraper - Scrapes gov.uk for tax guidance ∙ cash_flow_forecaster - Income projections External Integrations ∙ WhatsApp Cloud API - Receipt photos and voice notes via mobile ∙ GoCardless Open Banking - Bank feed sync (Barclays, HSBC, Starling, Monzo, etc.) ∙ Any - LLM provider (supply your own api key) ∙ HMRC API - Planned Phase 2 for direct MTD submission ∙ Nextcloud Talk - Chat-based interaction Key Features 1. MTD Compliance - Quarterly deadline tracking with soft-landing period awareness (2026/27) 2. Voice Expenses - Process expenses via WhatsApp voice notes 3. Bank Reconciliation - Auto-matches transactions every 4 hours

@andrew-darezzi-3799 I saw your post this is my tax / accounting agent
Openclaw vs. Agent Zero
I was skeptical about openclaw. It sounded like it was too powerful and dangerously so. So I ran it. I gave it a device and a name. I’m honestly impressed at how capable it is. I’m already spoken for. Agent Zero has been my one and only agent for over a year. I built my system to make work and fun stuff more to my taste. It’s still powerful but it’s not dangerously powerful. I’ve ran huge cloud agents and small agents locally and it’s just a fact that models matter. It’s said that today’s software would be useless without today’s models. I’d absolutely agree. But what about today’s hardware? Today’s hardware is absolutely playing a role in outcomes. Regardless of what outcomes AI come to they have to live somewhere. My agents live next to each other on my desk but in completely different environments. Agent Zero lives in Kali Linux and inside of a Windows docker container. Openclaw is autonomously residing inside a Mac Mini. I haven’t had a Mac in forever. It’s nothing like what I get from Windows. I appreciate all three OS’s for different reasons. They all have strengths and weaknesses. After a lot of researching and waiting for the other shoe to drop, and it has for many users, openclaw is operating and in my control. I recommend using both. Agent Zero is enterprise certified. It’s secure and fully functional at the same time. Openclaw is powerful when given its own machine. Giving it a vps is a waste of potential. Can Agent-Zero do things that Openclaw cannot? Absolutely. Can Openclaw do things that Agent-Zero cannot? Absolutely. Most abilities depend on the environment that the agent is in and how the user set it up.

Gemini3.1pro preview works good as my chat model 1million context window too. I’m running one set up on a pi5 16gb that’s fast enough with Gemini via api
Agent Zero using grok live voice system
Had a play with Claude today and managed to get live voice in and out set up, just push the new phone button and hands free voice with interruption. Agent has full system capabilities and a2A coms with 4 other agent zero setups. They work as a swarm via Nextcloud job deck, up to 400 agents ready to deploy over a friendly chat.
