Running a node
Does anyone have experience in running a node for a BTC pay server?

A friend of my is selling his product online and wants to add crypto payments. He has a server. This is what I got from AI. Of course! Setting up a BTCPay server is a smart choice if you want full control over your payments without third-party intervention. Because a BTCPay server requires a Bitcoin Full Node to verify transactions, there are essentially three main approaches. Here's an overview of how to approach this: 1. The Three Ways of Hosting Before you begin, you need to choose where you want to run the node: * Self-hosting (at home): You use hardware such as an old PC or a Raspberry Pi (e.g., with Umbrel or RaspBlitz). This is the most "sovereign" option, but requires a good internet connection and hardware maintenance. * Cloud Hosting (VPS): You rent a virtual server (e.g., from LunaNode, DigitalOcean, or TransIP). This is the easiest option for online stores because the server is online 24/7. BTCPay offers a "simple" setup for LunaNode. * BTCPay Cloud: You use someone else's infrastructure. This is the easiest method, but you're not technically running your own node. 2. Hardware Requirements If you're going to run your own node, you'll need at least the following: * CPU: A more recent 64-bit processor. * RAM: At least 4GB (8GB recommended). * Storage: An SSD of at least 1TB. Don't use an HDD; synchronizing the blockchain will take months. * Operating System: Preferably a Linux distribution (Ubuntu 20.04/22.04 is the default). 3. Installation (via Docker) The most commonly used method is the BTCPay Docker installation. This automates the process of connecting Bitcoin Core, the database, and the web interface. Steps: * Domain name: Make sure you have a domain (e.g., btcpay.yourwebsite.nl) and point the A record to the IP address of your server. * SSH access: Log in to your server via the terminal. * Installation script: Run the following commands as root: <!-- end list --> # Go to the folder where you want to install it
OTC desk
Does anyone have experience in using an OTC desk to on-ramp euros directly in USDC to your Solana wallet?

So important to train your self to take profits on the way up. We all missed our ladder outs in crypto last year because we thought it would go to the moon. Luckily I did the right thing with my goldminer stocks and I have my ladder outs for my crypto written in stone! This time. No more listening to anyone who thinks prices will go higher. When I hear that, that is the time to take profits.
Hacked!
Hey everyone, I just wanted to give you a heads up to be extra careful. I just lost 4.6 ETH. I used Aperture finance to open and LP, 1 week later I withdrew my position on Revert finance and the funds hit my wallet and instantaneously were sent to an unauthorized contract address. Turns out there was a hack on Aperture Finance, that I am just now realizing I was affected by - https://phemex.com/news/article/17-million-stolen-in-attacks-on-aperture-finance-and-0xswapnet-56041 I use a Tangem hardware wallet, VPN, and am very cautious, yet this still happened to me. It's enough to make me vomit and want to run from the crypto space. 🤮 Just sharing so hopefully you can avoid something like this.

That is terrible to hear. Thanks for the heads up and I hope Aperture will make things up.
Rotating
2 days ago I took profits from my GLDG stocks (Goldminer) +125% and rotated those profits in BTC. Will the rest of the world follow?
