Butterfly in autumn light
Lately, the weather has been getting increasingly unpredictable, which made me all the happier when the sun finally broke through the clouds halfway through Sunday, bathing nature in its warm light. The insects took advantage of this brief moment, emerging from their hiding places to enjoy the sunshine, even if only for a little while. For me, it was the perfect opportunity to immerse myself in the world of macro & close-up photography once again and capture a few special moments. It was truly a successful photo session. 📷 Camera: Canon EOS R8 🔎 Lens: Canon RF 100mm F2.8L MACRO IS USM 💡 Lighting: natural Handheld, one shot Camera settings: 1/500s, F/5.6, ISO-1600 Edited in LrC

Love the way you have captured the light. Was this SOOC or did you do some post processing Dana?
Macro via a OM 300mm with extension tubes
A combination of a very good quality image and the ability to tightly edit in DxO Photolab 10 and then send it to Topaz Gigapixel for a 1x enlargement....gives me: (Click the image for the big view!)

Back in Macro-photography :)
Hi everyone, after little break from camera, and a gear upgrade now I am back to photography again. Changed my gear from Canon R50 to Canon R7 and finally received Laowa lens 90mm F2.8 2x UltraMacro. Currently working around this lens and camera to have better understanding of its characteristic and possibilities. Would like to share with you my first images made by this set up and would be grateful to receive you opinions and criticism :) Those are single shots with flash light.

I like the last one, very nice. The water sprayed on the petals gives it that extra interest over the first one
What is everyone doing this weekend? 📸
I’ll be editing mushroom images for tomorrow’s video and testing Macro Studio against Helicon Focus. I’m looking forward to seeing how the results compare! What about you? Heading out with your camera, working on an indoor setup, or catching up on editing? Let us know in the comments, and feel free to share a photo you’ve been working on! 👇

Hope to be going out to check how this years population of Sea Aster Mining Bee (Colletes halophilus) are doing. Went a few weeks ago, only the males had emerged and were very active looking for females. Should be better now the females are about and hopefully not to active as weather is forecast for some cloud. Will try some handheld macro without flash and srepping back a bit with my Fujifilm xt5 XF80mmF2.8 and possibly adding the x2 converter if the light is good enough.
