Fun Fact about Traveling in Japan
Japan has more than 5 million vending machines - that’s one for every 25 people! You can find everything from hot coffee and ramen to umbrellas and even fresh flowers, making it one of the most convenient (and quirky!) places to travel in the world. Have you ever had a fun vending machine experience in Japan?

At one temple there was a row of vending machines with plastic spiders and critters in those spherical plastic containers. It was a contrast to all the vending machines with drinks. I looked at them in amazement and amusement - but didn't buy any 🤣

@Rich Guy I just looked it up. It is the #53 place to eat in the US (according to Yelps in 2024). This is impressive. The food looks amazing.

@Rich Guy Looking at the images of the food - people would never know! Remarkable. Does it taste great too? Guessing 20 years as a chef is part of the answer to that!

Last year I visited 3 places that fitted this criteria - Tasmania Launceston, Hobart, Bay of Fires, the Nutt and everywhere in between. New Zealand - Milford Sound, Hobbiton, Napier, Picton and Japan - Osaka is shopping on steroids with an incredible castle, Tokyo Lab planets and so many amazing things to see and traditional Japanese towns with the sliding wooden doors - Kyoto Bamboo Forest is lovely and there are so many gardens all around it. Hope this helps inspire 🌿🌿🌿
Focus Session 🔥
I want to know - When you are working online in a new beautiful country, what keeps you focused on your work and deadlines when the outside beauty and adventure is calling you? Do you block out time slots to get work achieved? Set specific tasks to accomplish? Close the curtains so you cant see outside 🤣 Let me know!

This is an impossible question - best idea to be on holidays - rather than having work compete with the beauty of the surrounds. If I had to I would probably time block. Then go out and enjoy the surrounds.
Which place changed the way you see the world and why?
Sometimes it’s not the destination that transforms us, it’s what we discover along the way. Which place shifted something inside you? A moment that made you see life differently? Share your story below. You never know who it might inspire to book their next chapter. ✈️

I visited Yangshuo, China. It's near Guilin. Both stunning places. I don't speak Mandarin or Cantonese, but I have wonderful times there - local tours in caves, seeing the sunset at Moon Rock, a river cruise to see the marvellous limestone formations, learning tai chi in the park early in the mornings from an elderly lady and being taken to an English cafe so the person who took me there could learn English from watching Fawlty Towers and a Fish Called Wanda. All in all incredible - there are so many things you can work out without language. Have you found that when you travel?
