Am I building what's wanted… or confusing people on where they belong?
I’m in a weird but exciting season right now. Most people in my new community came to me through my brand emails and Facebook posts. But here’s where I’m stuck… Before creating it, I planned for it to be a space for my art people…FREE + digital downloads they could actually use in their projects, which would be an extension of one of my businesses, only I wouldn't be printing these designs. Then… because I’m a multi-passionate business woman who refuses to stay in a box…I decided it should be something bigger. A space where all the things could live, like a creative hub. So tell me what you would do: 👉 Do I lean into multi-passionate creatives (which is 100% me) and trust the vision… even if it takes longer to get to where I want to be? 👉 Or do I double down on my art audience and build a niche space for people who already understand my world? Because here’s the tension… My creative, somewhat rebellious brain wants freedom and expansion, as multi-passionate people do, but my business brain (what I've been told all my life) is like, “pick a lane so people know why they’re here.” 😅 (Meanwhile, I could easily build 20 different groups…) For those of you who’ve grown a SKOOL community… 👉 What actually wins in the beginning? 👉 Focus first… then expand? 👉 Or build it as a bigger container from day one? I’m building this in real time, and I want a foundation that can actually grow with me. No fluff… what would you choose and why? 👇

@Brenda Rigney Oh Brenda, you answered questions in here that I didn't realize I had. That's so precious, thank you !
The "Me" Post
Here is my current situation: I am a full time therapist. I am a late diagnosed ADHDer. I am nerdy and academically oriented. I get annoyed and frustrated with misinformation around mental health and especially ADHD. I started a Skool community all about ADHD to educate other adults like me - who have ADHD but don't understand what it actually is. My favorite part of my community is making content - courses. My community is up to 115 members. About half are fully inactive - they joined and I am pretty sure they forgot they joined (ADHD, lol). The ones who are active - engagement is low. I've tried loads of strategies to increase engagement. Right now, I've stepped back and settled into the idea that I have a quiet community and that is okay. I get loads of positive feedback from members. They all say my content is helping them, but with the low engagement - self-doubt creeps in. So my question, how do I get my members interacting and engaging? Or do I accept my community is quiet and that is okay?

I’m in the same situation, my community has 119 members and is mostly very quiet. I’m sure it’s because of how I started ; I hadn't quite wrapped my head around exactly what Skool is or how it works. I’ve chosen not to let it die, and that would be my advice to you as well. @Brenda Rigney explained it better than I could! My initial plan was to produce tons of content, often overwhelming people with info and to-dos (I’m that kind of "Givemore Girl," lol). It took some effort to pivot, but I’m relaunching after the New Moon and the Equinox with a well-thought-out leaderboard and shorter posts. Starting next week, I’ll run challenges, like a 7-day sprint around one astro topic, and see how that goes. Skool definitely has a learning curve. Keep moving, and if it’s fun for you, play with it! As people with ADHD, we have that gamification inside us. Even though we’ve learned to keep it quiet, it’s easy to rekindle! I'm right there with you!

Absolutely, it is about identity! The planets are singing this song: as Neptune and Saturn both enter and settle into Aries, he "me" sign of the Zodiac, initiating a 36-year cycle, our identity is the most important thing we need to take care of. Being truly one's self is no longer optional, and it is often not exactly what we thought it was. We are living in spectacular and extraordinary times.

@Ann-Marie Burtell you are so right, this place is amazing on how far it can push us. It's so amazing to meet so many people and discover so many skills !
🙈 What Are Your Daily Activities?
One of the most important metrics in your community isn’t how many members you have. 🥳 It’s daily activities. Daily activities tell you whether your community is actually alive. When members are posting, commenting, liking, and engaging, a few powerful things happen: • Members come back more often • Churn goes down • Your community performs better in discovery • Conversations start happening without you carrying everything A simple benchmark to keep in mind: 200 daily activities → healthy early community 400 daily activities → strong engagement 800+ daily activities → thriving community If you’re below 200, your main focus shouldn’t be creating more courses. It should be increasing activity and participation inside the community. ❓Question: What are you doing right now to cultivate more daily activities in your community? Let’s generate as many ideas as possible so everyone here can learn from them. 👇 I’ve added two ideas in the comments to get us started.
