🌑 New Moon in Cancer — July 14, 2026
Today's the day, community! We've got a New Moon in Cancer landing at 21°58' Cancer (exact at 10:43am BST / 5:43am EST / 2:44am PT). New Moons mark the start of a fresh lunar cycle — a cosmic "clean slate" moment — and this one is extra tender because Cancer is the Moon's home sign. She's basically kicking off the new month on her own turf. Cancer rules home, family, emotional safety, roots, and the stories we tell ourselves about where we belong. So this New Moon isn't about hustling toward a big external goal — it's an invitation to ask: how do I want to feel over the next month, not just what do I want to achieve? 🌊 Ways to work with this New Moon - Set intentions around home & belonging. Whether that's your literal living space, your family relationships, or the "home" you're building within yourself — this is prime time to plant seeds here. Journal on what safety and comfort actually look like for you right now. - Do a nurturing ritual. Cook a meal from scratch, take a bath, declutter one corner of your home, call someone from your chosen family. Small, tending acts carry real weight under this Moon. - Get curious about your roots. Cancer loves ancestry, childhood memories, and family patterns. A New Moon here is a great time to reflect on where old emotional habits came from — and which ones you're ready to rewrite. - Practice emotional honesty. Instead of overthinking, try feeling your way into your next step. Write a list of needs you've been afraid to voice, even just for yourself. - Start something slow-growing. New Moon intentions in Cancer aren't about instant results — they're more like planting a garden. Give whatever you start room to build gradually over the coming weeks. ✨ Other astrological weather to know about right now - Mercury retrograde is in its final stretch. Mercury has been retrograde since June 29 (currently finishing up in Gemini after starting in Cancer) and stations direct on July 23. Expect a few more crossed wires, delays, or "wait, we already talked about this" moments — but also more clarity as old lessons click into place. Good week to revisit, reflect, and tie up loose ends rather than launch anything brand new. - Mercury was cazimi on July 12, meaning it sat right at the heart of the Sun — astrologers see this as a moment when key insights around communication can surface with real clarity, so pay attention to anything that "clicked" for you the last couple of days. - Next stop: Full Moon in Aquarius on July 29, which will bring a very different energy — more detached, big-picture, and future-facing. So think of these two weeks as the "inward" half of the lunar cycle before things shift outward again. - Uranus trine Pluto (July 18) and Jupiter opposite Pluto (July 20) are both brewing later this month — expect the back half of July to bring some surprising breakthroughs or power shifts alongside all this Cancerian softness.

this is truly about finding a home ~ as I've been looking for over 400 days in temporary living having left a traumatic and toxic experience that is still affecting me ~ I want to be nurtured and I am looking for the healers and the helpers with the healing helper finally needs to ask for help ~~ the shadow of Cancer is not knowing how to ask for help, so I am asking out loud and trusting the unknown path unfolding beneath my faithful feet that keep walking ~~~

Breathing is enough
I woke up tired today so I’m going to slow down. I’m telling myself that practicing my breathwork is enough. 😮‍💨 nature is slow and steady like my conscious breath

Welcome to The Wild Path Home 🌿🌙 A message from Lea
You were never meant to do this alone. Not the becoming. Not the unravelling. Not the quiet, aching work of figuring out who you are beneath everything life has piled on top of you. And yet here we are — living in an age that tells us to be self-sufficient. Independent. To hustle solo, heal solo, figure it all out solo. To scroll through other people's lives from the isolation of our own sofas and call it connection. Society has it profoundly, fundamentally wrong. We Were Wired for This Cast your mind back — not decades, but millennia. Your ancestors didn't wake up alone in a box, commute alone in a metal box, and collapse alone in front of a glowing screen. They woke with their people around them. They foraged together, cooked together, told stories around fires together. They grieved in community, celebrated in community, and made sense of the world in community. The elders held the wisdom. The children learned by watching. The women gathered — at the river, in the forest, around the hearth — and in that gathering, something ancient and necessary happened. They knew each other. And in being known, they knew themselves. Your nervous system was built for exactly that. The loneliness you feel isn't a personal failing. It's your body remembering something your modern life has taken away. The Forest Knows This Too Have you heard about the mycelium network beneath a forest floor? That vast, invisible web connecting tree to tree, root to root — sharing nutrients, sending signals, keeping the weakest trees alive through the generosity of the strongest? Trees, it turns out, do not thrive in isolation. And neither do we. The lone tree on the hilltop survives. But the tree held within the forest — sheltered, connected, nourished by the network beneath — that tree flourishes. You were made to be a forest tree, not a hilltop survivor. This Is Why This Place ExistsThe Wild Path Home is not another online group. It is a gathering. A circle. A digital hearth where women who feel the pull of something

@Lea Kendall thank you, it's the real life connections that matter most and why I've felt so isolated realizes how long it's been since I've had. I center and rest in nature on the daily.. the rising with the Sun challenge, is just my regular go to and what I've been doing for 25 years~ getting outside, feet on the ground, quiet and watching the world wake up. Hugging trees is wonderful and they hold so many of my hopes, dreams, and tears ~ just would be nice to have a real life tribe instead of all the online groups that feel nice but just not in reach which is what I've been looking for the most. Where to belong, where to grow together in that forever flourishing forest!

Can't wait to walk this path with you 🌿 Much love from the hedgerow, Lea 🌳

Hi, I'm Joyous and happy to be here. Cannot remember how I found this space and to be honest, usually forget it's here. I've been in a season of surrender and extended hibernation of healing as I'm walking through one of the most difficult chapters of my life. Recentering and remembering who I am beneath all the stories and societal standards. I'm a budding Herbalist walking a sacred journey with plant allies and learning Astrology to combine the two into a healing modality ideally to eventually help young children and guide their parents to understand them better according to their charts and crafting custom herbal medicine products accordingly and aligned with the elements. It's a work in progress and maybe it's my Sagittarius Sun stellium but I'm truly always learning and often say if we're not learning, we're not living! Growth happens underneath the surface and I've been allowing myself to see slow progress in myself as i continue to listen to the plants and the planets and what is being called of me in every moment. Thank you for this space and I'll hopefully remember to come back online and spend some more time here. Thanks for having me 🌱🙏💞🌹
☀️ Something special is coming...
I'm very excited about this next offering here in Rooted in Nature. I am quietly creating it now and it will soon be ready. It's called 30 Days of Saying Hello to the Sun 🌿 This won't be about getting up at silly o'clock or watching spectacular sunrises every day. It's about something much simpler... Stepping outside each morning, taking a few mindful moments to greet the day, reconnecting with nature and discovering how just a little morning light can positively affect your mood, energy and wellbeing. There'll be gentle daily prompts, community encouragement and no pressure to be perfect—just an invitation to build a small habit that could make a big difference. I'm still putting the finishing touches together, but I'd love to know... 🌞 Would this be something you'd like to join? 🌿 What time do you usually wake up? I can't wait to share more with you very soon!
