**Start Here: Where Are You Right Now?**
Most people arrive here stuck at the same point they've been stuck at for longer than they'd like to admit. Some haven't even got a machine yet. Either way — you're exactly who this is for. Just tell me which one you are today: **1.** No machine yet — still working out what to buy **2.** Got one. Still in the box, or under the bed **3.** Got one, had a go, it beat me **4.** Knitting away happily — and I'm here to help the rest of you That's the whole ask. A number and your machine, if you've got one. "3 — Brother 881, under the spare bed since 2019" is a perfect answer. If you're a 4: I especially want you here. This place doesn't work without you. ✨ I reply to every single one.

@Jan Appleton aah, but Superba machines are brilliant, I'll get the one that works downstairs in a couple of days when it's not 40 degrees (!!) and show you, it's brilliant for socks as you can get the beds between 3mm apart and 6mm - maybe I can do a circular top up to the armholes... No side seams... Also the double jacquard as long as the electronics are still working... I also have a motor that I haven't even checked yet, no idea if it works...

What did you do? 🤔
If your machine could talk, what would it say about you?
Would it roast you for walking away mid-row for 'just five minutes' and coming back an hour later? Would it thank you for finally cleaning the needle bed? Would it file a complaint about the acrylic you keep forcing through it when you know wool is its love language? Be honest — your machine has opinions. Give your machine a voice — what's the one thing it would say to you right now, good or bad?

@Jan Appleton oh thank you 😘 😘
Swatch with cables 🙂
After chatting with @Jan Appleton yesterday evening on the live 'meet up' , today I knitted a small swatch with cables, using UK 4ply acrylic, T8 on my standard gauge machine. I left the stitches next to the cables out of work. I did the transfers every 8 rows. One photo shows the texture up better, and the other photo shows the colour better, very pale grey.
