Doing my morning meditation and learning time this morning, a perspective on something was made known to me I’d never considered and I wanted to share it here. Depression was the topic, my perspective had always been looking at it as depress, a point or viewpoint where a huge weight, whether it was a feeling weighing one down, or a feeling of pain that we can struggle to face. This perspective was a take on this issue I havnt ever heard, they weren’t sad, they weren’t mad, their depression manifested as frustration, a part of them clawing to get out but didn’t think they could. It clicked for me, that frustration I knew, as I thought on that perspective it helped open me up to a different part of me, being able to see not just the external and social cues that help us to see the patterns and taking the appropriate measures to face these, but the facets in which many of our internal, and clinical mental/emotional states have just as much room upon the spectrum of diversity. To see that frustration was a mask depression can also wear made things much more transformative in my approach to my own journey. As each one of us have similar experiences or takeaways from life that may mirror one another yet unique to us, we have different facets and perspectives that we gain from unique situations that help us understand and grow with one another. Hope everyone has an amazing day!
