Hunting guide
Just thought I’d throw this out. If anyone is looking to come up to AK and hunt it’s quite expensive to get a guide for even basic hunting. As a resident and the fact I’m training to be a guide I can help anyone that is interested. Fun fact you either need a guide or a resident to be with you on hunts up here. I’m working on making a network of archery hunters up here that want to see the last frontier but not spend 5k plus to get the opportunity. I’m just starting out on this adventure. just seeing if any group members are interested.

@Carey Kimber I appreciate the information man. I’m relatively new to the area but I’m hoping to get going this season or next on the guiding but in the meantime I’m hoping to learn about the best known areas for safe and effective archery hunting. I just feel that some of the people up here are greedy and charge outrageous prices to hunt and I want people getting into archery to get to experience this amazing place without breaking the bank.

Had to pass a hunters safety course to be able to hunt in Alaska didn’t need it in AZ but now I’m good to hunt in every state. Now just to save up the funds to successfully pull off a grizzly/moose hunt this season.

Yes sir! In a 3D league up here. GNAA ARCHERY. Great way to condition yourself and get your mind used to the actions. Definitely worth doing if you are an active hunter.

@Casey Zander not with the Matthew’s just yet just picked this beast up this winter and just got her dialed it. But I do have a pic or two of the bull I mount I donated to an elk’s lodge in AZ when I moved up to Alaska. And my first black bear. This season I’ll definitely load some pictures of my hunts for caribou and moose. And possibly grizzly cause I’ll be tagged out this season.

@James Cordova thanks man! definitely more options and freedom up here. For residents after purchase of license the tags are pretty much free and you can bag multiple of each animal except moose and grizzly and goat. A lot more conditioning needed tho. It’s rough country and if you are not fit, real easy to ruin a hunt. But sooo worth it.

Appreciate it. I’m intrigued I’ve always wondered why we didn’t have a good group like this yet. Great idea. Interesting where this will go.
