Isaiah 38:17
I just wanted to share this verse I read the other day! In Isaiah 38, King Hezekiah fell deathly ill, soon going to die from it. He cried out to the Lord for comfort and healing and remarkably he was healed, given 15 more years of blessed life. In response, he praised the Lord, declaring: "Look, the grief I experienced was for my benefit. You delivered me from the Pit of oblivion. For you removed all my sins from your sight." Personally, what I took away from this is that God hears our cries for Him, and values our unbreaking faith, ESPECIALLY in our hardest moments. It doesn't mean we will be immediately taken out of the suffering and everything was fixed, but it means we will have a comfort that the world cannot explain nor take away. What did y'all think of this verse (and the story as a whole)? God bless!

Funny enough I just went over thsi yesterday in 2 Corinthians 10:12. Especially as an athlete, it becomes so easy to give our selves value from human based measurment. But even the best measurements will never be enough to God (seen in Isaiah 64:6). The only thing that God values is your heart posture towards Him!
I'm curious:
What's some of the coolest bible facts or theological points you know?

Church was nice this morning. We went over the names of Jesus that Isaiah gave him in his prophesy (Isaiah 9:6) and studying what the original Hebrew meant and how these names are personal to each and every one of us.

I definitely resonate with fear not being straight panic, but hesitation we can less easily identify. There are some struggles I am going through recently that have made me realize I don't acknowledge when I am afraid of possible futures. Personally, my response to that has been to not try to take a step towards one outcome or another, for God is the only one who knows what each action with amount to. So I (try to, I'm not perfect) go to God for each and every step so that I have full confidence in His choice, and don't have to put faith in my own.
