This resonates with me at 100%. I'm 51, been a DJ since i was 13, then started producing at 26. Was always told to get a "real" job. this is a hobby not a career by not only parents and relatives but by a career ed teacher. That sat with me my whole life and didn't realize it until i found this. And even before i found Jim, i posted on my facebook wall this morning some of my biggest accomplishments as a producer back between 2006-2013. I had many of my remixes in the top of the charts for major artists and indie, 1 even went to #1 around the world. and most of the charts were made by my DJ colleagues, that is major important and big, they are the most critical. But yet i still believed in the back of my head what they were saying and didn't fully believe in myself. i stopped after 2013, until recently when i started back up again. i've been having them blocks here and there. i believe this challenge and community is going to help change all that. Thank you for letting me vent. and thank you Jim.
