Overcoming Procrastination: My Journey and What I'm Learning
Hey Coffee Hour family, I want to share something personal that I’ve been working on—procrastination. It’s a challenge that many of us face, but for me, it’s been a barrier to achieving the things I truly care about. Whether it’s that project I’ve been putting off or the small daily tasks that pile up, I’m learning that procrastination isn’t just about avoiding work—it’s often tied to deeper feelings like fear, perfectionism, or even just being overwhelmed. Here’s what I’ve been doing to tackle it: 1. Breaking tasks into smaller steps: Sometimes the big picture feels intimidating, so I focus on one tiny piece at a time. 2. Setting clear priorities: I ask myself, “What’s the one thing I can do today that will make everything else easier?” 3. Creating accountability: Sharing my goals with others (like all of you!) helps me stay committed. 4. Embracing imperfection: I remind myself that progress is better than perfection. If you’re in the same boat, I’d love to hear from you. What strategies have helped you overcome procrastination? Let’s keep each other motivated and growing, one step at a time. Remember: It’s not about being perfect—it’s about showing up for yourself, your goals, and your dreams. Let’s fuel our daily grind together. ☕💪 - Jorge"Coffee Hour at Don Matias Café: From our family to your cup, creating a better world, one community and one conversation at a time."
