It's not Hard to Work Smarter
Many solopreneurs work stressful 50-hour weeks without a dependable income stream. Additionally, service-based small business owners, such as wellness coaches, personal trainers, and massage therapists, often encounter unique challenges that can impact their health and well-being which may sabotage business operations and ability to serve clients. Why? ⏱ Work Hours: Many solopreneurs and small business owners work significantly more than the traditional 40-hour workweek. According to surveys like those from Gallup or FreshBooks, solopreneurs often work 50-60 hours per week, especially during the early stages of their businesses. 😕 Stress Levels: Studies like those from the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) suggest that the self-employed often face high stress due to the uncertainty of income, lack of work-life balance, and pressure to manage every aspect of the business. Approximately 35% rate their stress as "high," compared to 26% of business owners with employees. 💸 Income Volatility: Many solopreneurs experience fluctuating income streams, leading some to maintain additional employment. Notably, 82% of those juggling self-employment and other jobs cite the stability of regular income as a primary reason. Healthy Wealthy⚡ WISE⚡ Recommendations: 🧘 Self-Care Practices: Engaging in regular self-care practices is crucial for solopreneurs to maintain vitality and reduce health complaints. Physical exercise, in particular, has been consistently associated with improved well-being outcomes. ⚖ Work-Life Balance: Solopreneurs often struggle with work-life balance, leading to stress and burnout. Implementing clear boundaries, such as setting specific work hours and allocating time for relaxation, is essential for maintaining mental and physical health. 📥 Establish Clear Work Boundaries: Define specific work hours and create a designated workspace to separate professional and personal life. 🧖 Prioritize Self-Care: Incorporate regular physical activity and relaxation techniques into daily routines to enhance well-being.

What are the unique benefits being a wellness coaches, personal trainers and massage therapist on a positive note...

I think I figured it out. This stresses me out because it is all facts but we all know of someone who defies these things and there seems to be no benefit of being a solopreneur and if I want to live long and be healthy don't be solopreneur and anyone you know who is solopreneur is probably going to not live as long and has too much stress. I enjoy hearing about the good news first then the bad news. Last but not least I know people who are solopreneur and this article made me worry about them. On personal note until I graduated college I was happy all the time and when I look at the hours I put in for personal, professional and school I don't know how I did it and I loved every minute. It is easier to work hard then smart why everyone can work a lot of hours but not everyone can figure out how to work 25 hours a week and make 40 hour pay. On that note the number I came up with if I could get a job Making 35 an hour I could only work 25 hours a week. That's a better idea. I knew someone who told me if you work more than 25 hours a week as a massage therapist you will kill yourself. How about making money that takes you 50 to 60 hours a week and only working 25 hours a week? The other part about working smarter not harder is each solopreneur has different needs... solopreneur.
