One hairstyle you’ll never try again?😳
What’s one hairstyle you’ll never try again? For me it has to be a high skinfade, it really doesn’t suit my head shape and you have nothing to hide it once it’s gone😂 I only made that mistake once🫣

Work where a helmet is required
So I have a question, no sure if someone will have an answer but would be great if someone has an advice lol. I work as an electrician and I need to have my safety helmet on basically ALL day. I take it off during coffee and lunch. But at the end of the day my hair is so flat and messed up like hard core curled and I try to fix it, not like elegant fix but at least some flow ya know, but can’t seem to get it so I just put a cap to hide the embarrassment 😂. I am growing my hair so that would the cause as well. Does anyone know or have any tips on what to do to at least maintain the hair somewhat flowy by end of the day? Again not looking to be fancy, but have some movement and not flat.

@James OHara gotcha, and yes basically hockey hair. Will probably plan to have my hair slick back if anything. Thank you just wanted to see if there was anything that can be done. Thank you for your advice 🙏

@Joseph Westwell would it be bad to use a dry shampoo and mantra definition hcomb? Today I’m using a cap to protect my hair so I’ll see how it comes out, but wonder if using those items would be okay, of course using it if I have to take care of things before going home. And I don’t want to wear caps that often because I have to let my hair breathe since it’s been deprived of oxygen.
Styling gone wrong
Has anybody here had the issue when you are your usual hair routine to style it but know you didn’t do it properly because afterwards your hair gets al flat and feels a bit oily? That’s my issue right now 🤣😭. Feel like I didn’t blow dry enough to give it volume and added molding paste when it was still 80 percent dry instead of 90 percent. My question is, can you still re do it by wetting hair again and reusing products in hair to get it just the way you want?

@Joseph Westwell now that I think about it, my hair was still slightly wet, not completely but still enough. Instructions on the thickening spray from forte says to apply to towel dried hair. Maybe that was my issue? I always spray on my hands and then scrunch it in my hair to apply it everywhere. Molding paste I made sure to rub in my hands and in between and then apply it, first by bringing my hair down and then back up and really scrunching it close to my roots.

@Shajeen Islam yes, used volume shampoo and conditioner afterwards. Mind you this was a day before. So by the time I did my hair routine it was dried and then I sprayed with water to dampen.

I know these are from a different post, but honestly liked how it came out that day lol
Journey
Honestly, I don’t know what was wrong with me before. But that it took my so long to change my way of thinking of my hair. I always believed the shorter the better, less maintenance and such. And that of course can still be true. But it all depends on how you take care of it and how to style it. The first picture is about 1 year ago on February. I always kept it at that length, using pomade I bought from the local pharmacy(I know, what was I thinking right? 🤣💀) But it wasn’t until the end of September that I decided to change that and really start caring for my hair. I ran into Soldafades YouTube channel and honestly got inspired. I always thought having lengthy hair was meant for those who had good genes because it always looked so natural, but his videos showed that isn’t the case, it’s work but the results are worth it. And I say that it is indeed worth it. The following pictures you can see how my hair has come along, and the type of style I’m going for. Thank you for this community and the wisdom it imparts so that all of us can reach our maximum potential. Also I would like to Thank my wife for encouraging me and not trying to stop me from finding this hair routine lol 🙏🙏
