Cosmetology school is wonderful for so many things… but bridal & special occasion hair is one area I feel like is really missing. Here are some things they didn’t teach me: • How to correctly tease hair for styling • How to do a proper bridal consultation • How to go about receiving payments, setting policies, etc. • How long a bridal style can actually take • How to build a bridal portfolio • And the biggest one lol… how to even create a style 😅 I learned most of this the hard way. Through trial and error, real weddings, and lots of practice. If you’re in school or freshly graduated and feel lost with bridal hair, just know you’re not behind. You were never taught this stuff in the first place 🤍 That’s exactly why I created The Proposal. My hope is that it helps fill in those gaps, gives you real bridal-specific education, and helps you feel more confident walking into weddings knowing what you’re doing and why you’re doing it.
