Does NinjaTrader interface with TradingView for Trade Copier
Just finished the $1 M Funded Account Framework Module. In the Apex Trader Funding Section there is a set of videos that go over trading on NinjaTrader. It appeared to me that this is the ideal platform to place trades when using their trade copier to trade across multiple funded accounts. Does this platform integrate with tradingview? From the whole InvestCEO program and practicing, I’ve gotten comfortable using tradingview and would prefer to use that platform to place my trades.

Short answer is yes..trading view connects to Tradovate..Ninjatrader connects to Tradovate as well. Once you have your connections set up and your follower accounts armed a trade placed in TradingView on the leader account will then be copied via ninjatrader. It sounds complex, but it’s actually quite simple to set up. Once you are ready for a copier Apex has instructions how to connect NT8 to Tradovate and trading view, the copier has additional instructions.
Current strategy
Hey guys with the market being so bullish these days what’s everyone’s strategy been? How man bullish trades vs bearish trades? And did we win more bullish or bearish trades?

I trade ES and CL primarily, I look at NQ, YM, RTY, and GC. I took a short on ES yesterday for a win. This week I have 4 trades, 3W/1L, 1 was long, 3 were short one of the shorts was a loser on CL, I shorted it later for a win when it priced into a new supply zone on Monday. I only do 1hr plan area s&d zones with 5 minute Superman once in a plan area. If against trend I only do 2:1, if I am with trend I will push for 2.5/3:1.

@Viraj Patel I look forward to reading that!
Trade Time
Good morning everyone! Just had a question about how long to let a trade run. I set up a trade yesterday on Gold after my alert went off. It was a short position with all the criteria for a perfect entry. I entered the trade and I got to about $300 and my take profit was around $500. But this took almost 8 or 9 hours for price to move to $300. My question is how long should you stay in a trade? I know it’s not best practice to keep a trade open overnight. It’s also not best practice to close a trade when it hasn’t reached your take profit. Also I know there was news yesterday but I got lucky as price action wasn’t too crazy on Gold. Trade time might just be a subjective thing but if anyone can give their thoughts that would be awesome thanks! :)

It looks like you are paper trading, one thing to keep in mind is that when you go the prop firm route your position will auto close when the market closes, that will make things a bit trickier and you will probably want to manually close a position prior to close if it has not hit your TP in that instance, otherwise you can be in profit but when the market closes you can potentially stop out if the spread is far enough apart. So follow Kyle’s advice obviously but when you get into your EA and PA account you will have to make a few exceptions at times.

@Michael Brown if you’re trading with your own funds it wouldn’t, prop firms do
Trade copier tradingview and tradovate
Am I correct that you can not place a trade in Tradingview that will copy to multiple accounts in Tradovate? I know it can be done in Tradovate but I was hoping to do it through Tradingview. Thanks

What Jacob said…I got the copier and a second EA account simply out of curiosity on how it all works, and I have to say it works really well, you need to make sure your PC is set to NEVER TURN OFF, otherwise it will lose connection, something you don’t want to have happen in a trade, the only drawback is when you close NT out for say a weekend, you need to set up your leaders and followers again when you reopen..it’s not a big deal takes only a few minutes…the tutorial that is provided with the software will explain. Overall so far it’s great and working both EA’s almost to completion.
ES
Anyone else bothered by the way ES has been moving lately ? Or maybe my mind isn't straight when looking at it..I have spent so much time on CL to an extent that ES looks more challenging than it has always been.

@Stacey Crews CL and ES are my go to, CL responds well, but you do have to have your zones pretty good, also you need to pay attention to the news on oil, Russia/ukraine, OPEC+ coming up..since I follow geopolitical news often I find CL to be very responsive. NQ is volatile and I am backtesting YM currently to understand it better, gold hates me, lol!
