Psychedelic Sickness...
New Years Eve I got sick. Not regular sick. Psychedelic sickness. Mind numbing migraines. Sore throat. A cough that made me fear each breath because of the migraine pain it induced. Fever. Chills. A wisdom tooth decided to lock my jaw shut. My wife joked about my annual "man cold" until she got it 2 days ago and started her own journey through it. This wasn't the start to 2026 I planned. But maybe it was the one I needed? 3 days in bed. Sweaty. Surrendered. All the projects, content, and plans I wanted to build... they waited. Super frustrating. But I was left to sit with the pain, the surrender, and the idea that without health nothing else matters. 🕊️ A cool Spirit Download 10 days before New Years, my wife's family and I wrote down 10 intentions for 2026. We cut them into pieces, crumpled them up, and each day we'd either burn or throw away one piece without looking. Allowing spirit to guide what mattered most. Our #1 focus for 2026 would be revealed on Jan 1st. Want to guess what mine was? Health and body. The day I got sick ur hiLaRIous Spirit. But being grateful for the sickness was my mantra and as a result this sickness had 3 downloads for me that apply to both health and business. /// 1️⃣ Addition by subtraction Before I got sick I was feeling overwhelmed. The sickness forced me to ONLY focus on the few things I could actually do each day. I thought more about this and realized the path forward wasn't about adding. It was about releasing. Removal felt aligned with what my body was already doing during the sickness. Getting rid of things. Purging. I got rid of coffee. 50 Skool communities. Clothes. A load of things on my to-do list. Clutter. Expenses and subscriptions. Plans and expectations. Non-whole foods. All the apps on my phone. I even fully shaved my beard for the first time in 10+ years. I'm not done yet. I can see both in health and business I love to over-complicate things. The first step isn't adding a vision board.

I took the time between xmas and new year to stop. I had been like you @Dan Harrison and had been falling away from my routines and how I was looking after myself and so was worried about being able to making the business a reality, as well as trying to make others around me happy So I stopped and listened to my head and heart, I had a few nights where a simple drink helped me chill and just be daft with my family and left me see what can be achieved (but also that there obstacles that will come my way too and that they are normal). I slept lots and felt comfortable being still. Coming back in the new year has shown me how I want to feel most of the time (I know we cannot have great days everyday) and why its important and positive to pursue all of this

@Dan Harrison yes it was great, now its time to make 2026 great
It’s January. So what’s different?
I’m not big on new year new me. But this year I am pushing myself to do the things that are uncomfortable but I know I need to do. I have my first 3 community events scheduled for this month! What are you most excited yet nervous about for January?

Pushing myself to get clients and changing my belief in my ability to do this full time
Tis the season
What’s happening LFGers?! To quote the epic Rakim.. “it’s been a long time, I shouldn’t have left you, without a dope beat to step too” Whilst I don’t have any dope beats. I do have a question. How are you approaching your communities, networking etc over the Christmas period? Not looking for a right answer as it varies for each. I’m just intrigued.

For me it will be just keeping to try to add value and be engaged with them I've seen that a lot of them are slowing down, so I'm trying to keep adding but not overkill on it

just Done, got my first call tonight on it
I got loads wrong this year, and I'm happy to learn from it
As a dad I missed so much, as a partner I was not there, as a friend I did not engage. But I'm happy to admit that, I'm happy to acknowledge what I got wrong and happy to tell people this. Because one thing I've learnt this year is to not put all on the pressure on me, that's not to say I should put it on others. But share with them how I feel, share my vunerability and be prepared to be honest rather than trying to be a big person. So let me know about your 2025
