My team is shooting 20 percent from 3. This includes using a shooting ladder and the preferred shooters are shooting wide open 7’s. This average holds true with their shooting average from last year. I have a dominant post and slashing guard. We average shooting 53% from inside the paint. We are great racers, we space well but teams are already leaving two defenders in the paint (sagging). This means we are rarely in dominoes. We are a high school girls basketball team. I have no seniors on my team so I’m looking at this as a two year season. What would you do to improve your shooters in season? @Tyler Coston @Mark Cascio would you take them through the shooting system during practice? We are a small school and multiple multi sport athletes. Summer shooting happens but not consistently. I’m willing to invest a lot of practice time to improve shooting. We lock left on defense and that helps our transition offense success😀.
