got pets? (¿tienes mascotas?)🐾
I was playing around with my dog yesterday, and he's a real FLUFFY guy.... when he gets wet, he looks crazy!! 😂 It got me curious... what pets do y'all have? We should DEFINITELY practice Spanish talking about pets :) (This lesson helps going over naming things) Here's the challenge: 1. Share a photo of your pet 2. Introduce them with ONE Spanish sentence Don't worry about perfect grammar, we're all learning together! Some helpful phrases to get started: - "Mi [pet] se llama..." (My [pet] is called...) - "Él/Ella es muy..." (He/She is very...) - "Le gusta..." (He/She likes...) I'll go first: "¡Mi perro se llama Hershey y le gusta jugar con la manguera!" 🐕✨ What type of pet do you have? hope ya'll have an AMAZING Friday 💕 p.s. Speaking of pets and Spanish... HUGE congrats to Sarah for getting into that tough Spanish for Veterinarians program!!

Hello all, I'm John and new here today. I'm super excited to give this a try. I duolingo daily with over 1000 day streak, but still have a difficult time just putting simple sentences together 🤔 I also watch videos, listen to podcasts, but that is very unstructured. Fingers crossed for layers 😁

"it's that way"
In layer 2a, "it's that way" is translated as "es por allí". I'm not clear on why this is es and not está. Wouldn't "that way" be a location? Thanks!

Thanks for this thread! I have been marking myself fail when I say está 😅 Also saying the word Allí is super difficult for some reason 🤣
